Thread: A content idea for Dancers/Entertainers

Right now people are asking for more content for all professions in the game, whether SOE is willing or not willing to consider player ideas or conceptsinto the SWG universe is their call. But for now, all we can do is suggest some ideas to let them know what players would like to see in a attempt to give more meaning to being a part of the Star Wars Universe.

From the movies and also within the game, Jabba the Hutt appears to like his entertainers in one form or another. I thought to myself as i ran through the Tatoonie desert from my home to Mos Eisley, why are Jabba's men picking on me for! Then it dawned on me that i should see Jabba to see if i can win his favor (or factions in this case) by dancing or serving up a wholesome meal instead of killing Valarians which i'm really bad at. Even Musicians like Max are so well likedby Jabba; thathewould be very displeased if anyone should harm Max.

Not all players who want to visit famous places like WayFar are geared towards the combat aspect of the game and these players should be given a option to win NPC factions by other mean besides fighting, i hope this idea gives added vision to a game we like.

Yes, I am actually just trying to win an audience with Jabba at the moment and my character keeps complaining about the treatment she is getting from his henchmen and don't they know who she is etc. I'd really like to see us be able to complete the themeparks in a rp manner consistent with our characters

I just did all the Jabba missions this weekend. The best reward in the end was being able to dance Exotic 4 next to Oola.

I've got some great screenshots to cherish.

You know, I have to say that I've been playing this game as a dancer for the last 2 months and have often felt that something was missing, but i didn't give too much thought as to what that "thing" might be. YOU'VE FIGURED IT OUT FOR ME! I really like to rp my dancer, and I hate that I've had to take up a combat skill just so that I have half a prayer of getting around the planet.

I always wanted her to be a lover...not a fighter. The problem that I'm having is that I have to be nailed to the cantina. When I chose to dance I knew that I would be spending a lot of time in town, but I didn't realize that I would be virtually useless on a hunt, or on missions with my guild. Not that it's a horribly HUGE problem, mind you, but I would certainly get a lot more out of this game if I could do a little exploring without spending most of my time outside the city limits flat on my back incapacitated. LOL

I think Master Dancers should get mission invites (i.e. free access to performgigs inhis throne room)from Jabba (and other theme park bosses) so that non-combat professionals have some greater reward than just the Master title.

Since June 2004, running one of the game's first completely nonviolent characters. Testing the limits of non-combat MMORPG play and trying to have fun into the bargain (although the developers make it difficult).

Combat is no longer compulsory.
