Thread: Useful commands (etc...) for entertainer (or for every profession) important
//First of all, I already wrote this one into SWG discussion but this forum suites my thread better
Well, as I play a entertainer (dancer) I dwelt about some features which would be quite useful:
1. /grouptip. grouptip is something we entertainer really need (and every other group who wants to divide the loot). By tipping the group, every member gets the same amount of credits. this is already implemented when you successfully finish a mission (the mission reward gets divided in the group). it just needs a command that every player can use it. the customer (talking about entertainer) can make up his mind if he wants to tip the whole group or just a single person. and if you now complain about the "afk" performers, just kick them from the group.
2. filter. it is possible to color specific words ingame, why cant we filter them into another chat-window. especially for performers, when they get tipped, it would be useful to filter the tips into another chat window so they can easily see them. it's like filtering system messages or something else, just that the player can define himself what phrase or event he wants to filter in another chat-window.
3. synchronize. when a musician joins the band he automaticaly joins the music (if he has the skill). cant there be a commando where a dancer can join the dance of another dancer and if he flourishes, you do the same? yes, we have bandflourishes, but with bandflourishes every member of the band is forced to flourish.

these are some features which can quite easy be done. now to some complains *smile*

dancing knowledge 4:
getting exotic1 and exotic2 with the same skill makes exotic1 waste, because you dance like having no balance and for a choreographer it looks awful. why dont give exotic1 as an addition to dancing knowledge2 or 3 and give another dance next to exotic2 at dancing knowledge4 (yes, i know, the motion capturing...). there is no funky dancing style at master dancer or choreographer, something like breakdancing maybe.
dancer profession:
the dances are made for women and nearly for women only. there are actually only some dances which looks good on both sex. exotic is clearly a female dance, lyrical looks good but still suites women better. the expert dances are quite onesided, only for female (forget about poplock...) . it looks like music for man and dancing for woman and that is quite conservative. I hope that there is a possibility to provide a male master dance (breakdance would really suite it).
GIVE MALE DANCERS A CHANCE!!! *g*
well... i hope that at least some of my ideas can be implemented, at least the first 3...
thank you,
Player of Erio Tenjo and Areck D'rinet
We don't need a synchronize command. We can already /bandflo (and if you don't want to bandflo, then type /bandflo off)
However, I do take issue with the fact that only the person giving the /bandflo command gets dance XP.
if I remember right, that was done because alot of the time only one member would be doing flurishes while the others did nothing, and gained the same xp. ppl complained and SOE changed it. or something like that

I think it would be simpler (and can't see why this isn't already in place), to use the existing group credit share toggle. When a party is out hunting, the group leader can set it so that any credis looted from NPC kills are divided equeally across the whole team. Why this can't be applied in for /tip as wellI don't know.
The /bandflo XP gain was changed in Beta3 iirc. This was due to one person in the group doing bandflo and every dancer getting Dance XP for it - can you say LAMEr paradise?
All a bit academic now as you can just macro your flourishes and loop 'em =(
