Well you see most dances have bad flourishes that look kinda funny and goofy, so i was wondering if there was a way to combine flourishes from different dances. I know there is probably something that can be done (well i hope) this could be very fun for are beloved customer to watch

if there is please explain to me how it can be done?

OH just one thing were did you find that command was it by trying it out, it seems i could be getting a lot more about this game if i knew more commands like this one, if you know of a place to loo let me know thx

I think I learned about /changedance from talking with people in /groupchat.

Most of my gameplay came from talking with others. It'll all come to you.

If you hang out in Theed or some other popular cantina, you should pick up a lot of good hints. There are also some articles you can find on the Web. Do a search on "SWG entertainer" and that should put you in a good (if broad) direction.

OOC:

/changedance is great. You can do some nice routines using it in macros and stringing together flourishes. I particularly like the combination of formal and lyrical. The different versions of exotic also work well together, though I haven't yet worked up a routine with them.

Thanks for the hints, all. I've been wracking my brain trying to come up with a way to make a great looking dance routine, but I haven't actually sat down and written one out! Thank you for the ideas

After reading about this on an earlier post on this board I made up a macro that incorporates exotic 3 and 4, when switching between the dances I use a light and/or smoke effect that's built into the macro, with flourishes and such it's turned out to be a pretty nice routine.

The light effects cover the change between the starting and stopping of one dance style to another, haven't tried the changedance command but will experiment with it too.

wow if anyone here wants to share the macros they have found that works great it would be really awesome, since last night im trying to time my flourishes and im having sooooooooooo much trouble its not funny.

So anyone here that as a good working routine plz be kind enough to share it with the rest of the community

hey heres a new way for us entertainers to make money you make a new routine and sell it to other entertainers, that would be a fun way to have new revenues (nah its a bad idea)

It amazes me than any dancer can get far and NOT know /changedance. Whenever someone asks for training in dance with me I always ask them if they know a "quick change step" my ic speak for /changedance. And if they don't I show them, /tell them the command and make them practice it in front of me while giving them suggestions of what flourish goes where.

If you're dancing anywhere and you aren't talking to your fellow bandmembers in group asking things like this then you need to start doing it. Its as much the responsability of new dancers to ask questions of their fellow ingame dancers as it is for the experienced dancers to invest in the community and teach and encourage them.
