Thread: Fix on Mind Buffs
"Dancer - Increased the effect of dance mind buffs. A master can now increase a stat up to double of its base value. Maximum durations have been increased to 2 hours."
Let me start off by saying that I am not a dancer and therefore, I know little about your profession. How does mind buffing work? If so, is it like doctor buffing is now?
Any dancers on Bloodfin looking for a Player Association?
If so email or send a /tell to Nerraw. My PA is looking for some dancers.
Currently we can buff up to 50% on top of your existing bar for up to a half hour. The patch promises to raise that to 100% for up to two hours.
And suddenly dancers are wanted in PAs? This can only be a good thing.

LoL! Thats pretty good to see. And to answer your question, they buffs are suppose to be targetable. I'm not sure how it worked out until I have a chance to test it all out tonight. I'll be giving a in depth review of the new system tomarrow however including how its done now, how long it takes, what it costs, how long it lasts at different levels etc. so just be on the look out for my post tomarrow.

I'm glad you're looking for existing dancers..
However, I'm sure many PAs will have people bot their way to master dancer/musician.. This is a nice change for our profession, but I think it will just make the bot entertainer problem worse.

It may make the bot problem worse temporarily, but in the long term I think you'll see less because this is not going to be something people can do while their afk. (buffing that is) Needless to say the Devs and myself will certainly be keeping a sharp eye on the effects this has and adjust as needed.
The fact that buffing itself they need to be there for will make no difference, unless it becomes a requirement for experience in the technique line.
Hey! I like that idea! Make a new experience type "Mind Enhancement Experience" or something and make it required for the technique tree.
Anyway, the reason I say it will make no difference is most bot entertainers you see are not masters. They are doing it for experience. Yes, there are exceptions, but they are very much the exception. Therefore, you will see them just as much, as they will still be there on the way to their goal.
I'm having a brainstorm on the idea of mind enhancement experience, I'll start a new thread on it.
