Thread: Ladies Night?!?!? Ideas for Advertising

Greetings!
I'm a new player on Bria and recently made Master Dancer. I inherited a cantina from a guild member that gave up the entertainer profession and I am looking for ways to generate more traffic. Does anyone have any ideas on how to advertise?
P.S. Spamming while AFK on the Starport is not something I want to do.

What I want to do is to increase the traffic in our city and my cantina. I know that I'll never reach Coronet and Theed proportions (but then again, do I want to?) but I'd like it to be a place where entertainers can hang out and where people can always count on someone there to heal them, get training/xp, and just have a good time. Being new to the server and the game in general, I haven't seen or participated in any special events. If anyone in Bria is having one, please send me a /tell or an email.

many months ago, i had a similar idea. of course, that was just in my house, with a couple of fellow musicians, every monday night. and somehow or another, it seems to have escalated into a city, with a cantina, and a large gathering every monday night. it took quite some time, but because it was weekly, eventually, we got some regulars, who told some friends, whoe told some friends, etc. and now we have anywhere from 5-25 people in our cantina on any given monday.
some of our favorite themed parties so far have been; trivia night (organized questions and then everyone had 30 seconds to send an answer via tell), hunting parties, open mic night (anyone can get up and sing/rap/hum/recite poetry), and this week, we are planning a mixer with another city.
if you are ever on chilastra, i invite you to stop by. kora and i would be happy to show you around and introduce you to our city-mates.

Advertising...I assume you mean to put on special events right? At least on my server it is the city that makes the cantina, and basically that means city location. Even a cantina in a metropolis can be very dead. The most popular player cantina I have found is actually on 1000m from the the imperial outpost on Dant. Interesting that it is not near a POI but basically offers services the Imp outpost doesn't.
Anyway back to advertising, put on as many special events as you and your guild can handle! Promotes more than the cantina, also vendors etc. duels, parties, races whatever. On Tempest we are lucky enough to have a relatively new guild of entertainers, the Temptresses. Wherever they go people follow. Does Bria have a group like that? The games they have invented are truely imaginative and that is why people follow them to their parties. For every event they are at the event host posts on the galaxy board and the Temptresses also post on the board so two ads for one event. IMHO it would be worth rolling a chartacter on tempest justto go talk to these ladies (unless one of them reads this). I would be happy to give you their names, just send me a /tell or e-mail in game. They have always been very accomadating to me.
