What kind of steps are being taken to keep theaters free from entertainers starting auditions and performing while someone is running a player event?

The way I understand it, when I was testing, was that anyone could talk to the manager and start auditions and other parts of the quests, while I was running around on stage.

Do we have to rely on the fact that other entertainers would be considerate enough to wait until the player event is over before spawning an audiance or judging panel to do their quests?

I apologize if I missed this somewhere, dont flame me to hard

I too had other people on the stage playing (not for the quest, just playing) when I did the quests. I honestly don't think the Devs have thought the Entertainer Quests that far through. From what I see, they have simply cloned helperdroidmissions from the little green droids to NPC Theater Managers, changed a few numbers, and told it to loop a couple of times. Sadly enough, the Entertainment professions always seem to be an afterthought.

Well, the simple answer is this.

If you're running a player event in a static city theatre, and someone wants to start up the entertainer quests, you're going to have a table and panel of three judges spawn front and center onstage, backs turned to the audience, in the middle of your show. As far as I know, nothing will stop it.

I was concerned about this the moment the quests hit TC just after publish 9 went on there. Yes, we have to hope that the player is considerate enough to not ruin the show. They can start (or continue) their quests in any static city theatre - the Theatre Managers all talk to each other, and know wherea performer is in the quests. But if someone wants to walk up and do their performance quest stage at your event, the NPC audience will spawn in the room regardless of what else is going on there.

Has anyone actually gotten the "reward" yet?

I have yet to see a reason to actually try the "missions". So we get one song for musician and one dance for dancer . . . pfft . . .

That's reason enough for me. Haven't seen the dance yet, but I heard the new song and it's awesome I want it badly.

Imagine your live audience's surprise when suddenly they find NPC's sitting in their laps in the middle of your performance. I think that will get their attention faster than the judges and table spawning on-stage.

The rewards still aren't in on TC. To make matters worse, all of us who successfully completed the quests before in testing are now bugged, and cannot get past the first "watch me, please... I'm doing the quests!" advertising phase of things, as the system will not recognize that players watch us for quest purposes.

I don't think anything will be looked at with the entertainer quests until publish 10 is out the door. There are stillmany showstopper bugs in the Yedi quests (yes, for some reason I've taken to calling them Yedi ), and the word on the street is that pub 10 is nowhere near ready to go live tomorrow. Late nights fixing things in devland here - and I just have that sneaking suspicion that they won't be pulling anyone off Yedi development to look at Entertainer development.

G has just said he would try to get us some more communication on the Quests. I'll ask again when I see him in a few days.

Also, QAs can "reset" you. I'll ask if I can have some way to get you guys a request line for resets.
