anyone know if we will ever have more then 2-3 different flourishes in exotic 4 and more then 4 flourishes in the other exotic dances? kinda ruins it for me when all other dances have the full 8 flourishes and these master and near master dances only have half the amount of different flourishes..if i remember right (since im not in game atm to check) exotic 4 i know for sure only has 3 flourishes as flourish #'s 4-8 are allthe same exactshimy in a circle type dance...
ive looked through a few posts stickied here but havent seen anyone mention this (unless i just missed it).
thanks for all the help and info.

Its been said, Idont know for sure, that they broke up the flos for one exotic dance over four different ones. I would have preffered one dance with 8 flos.
Popular has8 good ones, my favorite dance for that reason. We can wish for more flos, of course we can wish for a winning lottery ticket as well. (Lei wonders which one has a better chance of happening.)

I agree. We really need more than 2 flos per exotic. Usually when I'm dancing, if the musicians are playing a faster tune, I always dance popular, I like having a base of 8 flourishes to work from with it. If they're playing a slow tune, I have a macro set up to go between exotics 2, 3, and 4, so that it looks like I have 8 flourishes.

We don't know yet. We all want the rest of our flourishes, and we want formal and lyrical fixed, and... and...
Here's hoping that along with new dances and flourishes that have been promised, we'll also get the rest of our existing dances and flourishes. ![]()

I use all 8-10 of the good flourishes in one dance macro, I just change the dance. Kinda stupid, but at least I don't have to do the same 3 flourishes over and over.

/bump Are there any news about this topic?
I sadly had to realise the fact yesterday after I aquired D Knowledge 4 that I did the same moves over and over again, until I found out there are only 4 moves in exotic 2... /sadsigh
I might try that with switching between exotic 1 and 2...

I love the flos but I love the base dances too. Moving from E2 to E3 and then E4 works very well & I would hate to see it change. Using flo 3 to move from E3 to E4 can look really awesome when the timing is right (especially with 2 dancers). I don't think the flos would look as good if they could be called from the same base. As far as caring what is stuck in what box..it matters not a bit to me.

I would appreciate someone adding their dance macro to change from exotic to exotic. I just haven't been able to get it right (macros hate me . . . grumble).

Til and I don't use a macro for it as it looks better if we just do it manually so we can compensate for whatever condition our lagginess is in. Our goal with it is to /changed to e4 at the point where our avatar's hands reach the lowest point coming out of the turn near the end of E3F3. As I usually call the flos on E3, I have a better idea of how much the server-side lag of the flo command is putting him behind me and I try to make my change at a point which will put us both on our knees with E4F3 at the same time.

Yeah, months ago (like Feb?)I had an ok Exotic macro I wanted to use... but in the end it just made me insane.
I think the Exotics are actually the easiest to hone your mixing skills on if you haven't before then. I played with mixing before my mastery, but it wasn't until I was a Master Dancer/BE that I really started having a lot of downtime where I could really get into it. I do better when I am using Exotic a lot... I always handflo and mix it now. If I haven't been doing the Exotics for a while, I get rusty though.
For the past month I've mostly been using Poplock, Popular, and Basic and only for the past couple of weeks have I been doing a lot more Exotic again. Still, it surprised me how much easier it was to come back to this time. I guess you just get those visual queues burned in your head after a while, lol.
It's pretty much all about hand placement with the Exotic flourishes... base Exotic 3 is a bear to end on because you never know when it will do that awful spin around unless you started the cycle with it and know where you are.
Anyway, the only thing I like about mixing is the ability to "edit" a flo. I would actually like for us to be able to call any flo from any base dance and also have a separate param for each flo so you could start it where you pleased. So if a flo was 10 secs long but you only wanted the last 3 secs you could do /flourishname 7, then it would just skip the first 7 seconds. I also want to be able to queue up flos like Music flos sort of so you could skip the base dance entirely without having to babysit the exit sequence.
Add a few short anims in with this (kicks, turns, leaps, and jumps), some group commands (group start, stop, and change dance), and it would open up worlds of creativity for us! *sigh* /pine
Anyway, the risk of me pitching a fit and asking for this would be our mixing could get messed up with out actually giving us the tools I'm hoping for... if we could get them though, it would be like mixing extreme, with group synch even! *bounces*

Oh that would be sooo cool, Panthu. Maybe it would just need to be put to them in a certain way so they wouldn't hose us over in the process?

So, would you guys freak out if I asked for all the exotic flos to beusable from any base Exotic? Are there any you'd rather see held off for the Master Box?
I love the moves from Ex3 best myself.
I know full flourishes would be better, but if we still have to wait for them, would this be ok? It would allow for some really cool group Exotic Dances.
It would mess with mixing unless they staggered them. Which is better?

Oh, sorry, got distracted by the necro and forgot your question. No new news... other than we've seen the Mo Cap which had Exotic moves and I'm wanting to ask about using all of the Flos for all of the Bases. That's it for now still. Sorry.
