I am 3 boxes away from mastering dancer but from reading about the CU and what it will do to dancers, muscians and docs, it seems like I may be wasting my time. Should I continue with it and see what happens? New and a bit confused. :-(

Shayuri, The honest answer is that none of us know what the future holds. The best way to answer your question is to tell you that if you enjoy the profession then keep going. If you're just going through the motions in hopes that it will be different and better when you reach Master, then you're probably better off stopping and finding something else that you find fun. Believe me it's not just a conundrum for newer players. Those who have been a part of the community for a long time have the same concerns. I don't know what will happento our profession in the long run but I stick with it because I enjoy it, I enjoy the community, and I still have the faint ember's glow of hope
that eventually all will be made clear and it'll be something I can continue to enjoy.

No you aren't wasting your time. after all, no one knows how it will turn out. Just remember,
Dance like the whole room is watching you,
Fight like your children need you,
And live with all the dignity of a budding blossom.

Do you like what you see the Master Dancers are capable of? Then Master. I did it for the floor dips in Exotic 4
The future is always uncertain. But you can't live your life on fear.
Luck to you.

No your not wasting your time - being a dancer has been one of the most rewarding professions I have mastered in this game - that and tailor are my 2 loves.
None of us know the final impact of the CU - but I am holding steady on the fact - that I still will be able to dance and entertain.

As others have said, become a Master Dancer if that's what you really want to do. If when you're logging on, you can't wait to get into the game and start dancing, then the potential changes should hopefully have little impact on you.
Remember, we play to have fun and enjoy ourselves. Do what you know will fulfill that the most.

its only a waste of you time if you dont enjoy it.
I have been a dancer since Kettemoor opened, and will continue to be one once everyone jumps ship for the CU.
play the game how you want.
If it gives you a migrain or gives you stress, the fun is gone. Its time to move on.
now on the other hand, if you are just becoming master dancer to be a buff drone, then yes. you are wasting your time.

Are you having fun? If yes, then stick around. If no..then you probably should find something you like better.
(& welcome to the most addicting profession)

You're not.
Because one thing is certainly sure. They won't take us away our ability to dance, and that is what defines us. Not the ability to heal BF, mind wounds and buff minds. That are just little nick-nacks who have proven to be a two-bladed sword in the past.
