I don't think it was in the patch notes for TC either. I think it was only mentioned in an earlier announcement of upcoming changes. Sometimes some of the fixes don't make it in the patch notes 'til sometime later (remember the theater quest?). Don't know if it's because they don't consider them "finalized" or if some of the changes don't receive official "clearance" for notification until later...

Bases dances were fixed on TC - Tiggs posted that it was an oversight in the patch notes. Perhaps that holds true for Live if she merely copied and pasted the original patch notes from TC.

In this case I think it was an accident that just didn't get fixed. The new dances and songs went in without the fix at first, then the next publish to TC included the first attempt at the fix and the patch note went in; the next publish to TC fixed the fix, but the patch note disappeared and didn't appear in the TC notes since that first time, but the fix was still there. So, I'd imagine it's live now .

Notes on that fix have been consistently left out of the announcements on this patch. As much work as they put into getting this to a presentable form, I can't see them pulling it at the last minute when testers have already confirmed with them that it is good. So yeah base dances! No more falls! W00T!

Actually it was on the TC notes, or it has been, but it happened that the fix was 10 times worst than the problem... (was causing massive synchronisation problems, huge difference between what's seen bye the dancer and by the watcher and stuff...)
So it looks like we'll have to wait a bit to get people "rofling" at us while performing the base dance of theatrical1

edit: *me typing to slow*
You're kidding me? The base dance fix bug is actually fixed? Wooot!

The spinning of avatars that was sending us all over the place after the first attempt at a fix has been corrected. We owe a HUGE thank you to Scipionus, Ravenmist and Tiaga for pushing this through for us!

The only thing we'll "lose" in the correction of the base dance problem (that we've found)is the ability to rotate our avatars using either the mouse or numpad buttons. However, we can still accomplish this using emotes. Maybe this can be changed in the future. But at any rate, we've got some new cool stuff to play with!

I'm looking forward to getting online tonight and checking out all the base dances and listening to SW4 and Funk until I can't stand it any more!

Base dances were fixed on Test. I am very excited now it means we can have lyrical working for Wanderhome Cantina Crawl in addition to some tumblers

I haven't seen a fix posted (but that doesn't mean much, Tiggs doesn't have time to tell us about all the fixes) but on TC there was a significant dancer drift issue, I haven't been able to tag up with a dancer to check it today. It is on some of the dances only.

This is that the dancer will see themselves in one spot while dancing, an observer will see them in a separate spot (generally 5-10m away), this was spotted on the dances which move a significant distance while performing. This means that the nice medic trying to heal / buff you will see himself standing next to you, but may be getting "out of range" messages.

If you see it be aware QA do know about the bug.

The Shiro Clan of TC -
...has successfully tracked Tiggs
...is still tracking down more bugs
NB: Any comments I make on TC code can and often do change
before they reach live and may not reach live at all, please read my
comments with that in mind.

The new dances will be patched into Live on Thursday, March 24.

If you haven't made it to TC5 to try them out, here's a couple of helpful tips:

When doing tumble, which moves you ALL over the place, time your flos so that the base dance does not kick in. You will come back to roughly the same spot.

When doing breakdance as a group, the flos look wonderful but everyone is sort of doing their own thing during the base. Again, if you don't let the base run, the visual is much nicer.

Enjoy the new dances.

One item which isn't in the update notes is the fix for the broken base dances. Makes me wonder if that's just an oversight by Tiggs or if they pulled that out of the patch
