Thread: On Kettemoor and editing of hijacks...

I first wish to say, sorry for starting a whole new thread on this, but I didn't wish my thanks to get lost.
I went to the Kettemoor forums tonight, knowing it was time to make sure my thread was updated, but afraid of what might have spawned there overnight.
I'd nearly completed adding all the new names (we have 24 now, in just a few days! 
) when I realized...
) when I realized...all the mayhem and craziness were gone.
Posts with text in extra extra large letters, calling me childish and stupid -- gone.
Posts calling everyone who claimed to be ATK the entire time they're performing -- gone.
I thought I had just skipped a page or something, so I took a closer look. Nearly two hours worth of constant flames, arguments, and name-calling, completely erased from existance...
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.
I was so worried all night that my thread might fizzle into nothingness, or worse get locked, and I knew we were doing nothing wrong. I cannot begin to express my gratitude at how this was handled. I can log in tonight and be happy.

To summarize, I started a thread on Kettemoor to create a small database of ents who wished to be known as always ATK. People commented before that they'd make use of us, if they could find us.
It was fine for about two days. Then Kett's best-known buffbot posted her info. In her credit, she did it very politely, with absolutely no comment or expectation. Nor, at any point in the following pages, did she make any post arguing with me.
But her supporters -- namely the ones too lazy to go find someone else -- immediately jumped on me for refusing to add her to the list. While admittedly she is ATK most of the day, she is ATK and dual logged on another account. I feel that didn't fit my requests.
Two pages of flames later, I went to bed, a bit disheartened, and came back tonight to find them all gone.
It's a great night.

Ohh, i posted my details for my kettemoor entertainer in that post. I missed the flaming, but im glad they are gone now! Looks like someone did their job good

Aye, grats hun - I don't blame ye, I wouldn't have addeda bot either **winks** I think we are very lucky to have Garva keep an eye out and support us when things like that do get out of hand.

Both GarVa and Virrago have been very supportive of helping keep ATK lists up in the Galaxy servers.

and my two cents:
Dont be afraid to use the report abuse button.
If you see flaming or derailing, or outright stupidity (one post saying nothing but a blank spot for the entire page)
report it.
Sure it is the moderators choice what gets removed edited or locked,
but it is up to us to notify them of it as well, there are alot of threads to watch on these forums.
If you are staying levelheaded and ask for help, it is usually given within a very fast response time.
I like our mods and CSRs, i have never had a problem with them but can imagine the problems they have had with us 
the forums like the game..enviroment we can contribute to or destroy..it's our choice.
