Thread: Mind Buffs nerfed?
Ok, i dont know if this is a bug or not, but the last 2 ppl i buffed in a row only got 350 added to their mind pool, then after i left the cantina i heard a doc say that his buffs have been nerfed as well? I mean give me a frekin break Dancer's hardly make any decent credits in the 1st place. I charge 3k for MB's and if the MB's are nerfed MB's are pretty much useless then and of course the charge would drop to what? 1k credits then? All i have to say is screw that im not doing MB.s for 8mins just for 1k a head forget it, i might as well find another profession then. ![]()
Sounds like you don't have passion for the profession anyway. I buff for free and had some very nice tips and compliments this weekend after buffing some people.
5k just for stopping music and using /setperform is very nice, considering i'd be playing music anyway...
Oh about dancers not making money... I made twice what I make as a musician just by dancing.
(Claps) well good for you, tell me dose that happend everyday? yeah i thought not...
I didnt write to talk about how much you made, and i dont need advice on marcos thank you..
So i guess im going to have to go into detail then.. yes i love the the proffesion, if i didnt i like dancing i wouldnt be showing concern and i wouldnt be posting this thread. I do know that more ppl prefer the MB's over the Focus/Willpower buffs, i know i make more than just 3k for MB's, sometimes i get tipped more ive gotten up to 10k from ppl, but im not greedy so3k is a reasonable price. The fact is buffing is the dancers bread and butter, you nerf the buff then you get less, and ill tell you right now i make hellof alot more Buffing/MB's than just dancingwaiting forsomeone will tip me forBF and regular mindheals.Do I only care about credits no, but its nice to have some spending cash right? I mean if you want to dance for free more power too you, thats you, not me. I like to make a little incentive or is that a crime?
Ive spoken my peace, soall you other dancers that want to start making this thread a flame go ahead, im not posting here again.
And my post wasn't a flame, your post came over to me like "Buff stinks, it no good, I only dance to charge for buffs, fix or i go doctor...", hence my responce.
But to answer your question, no the buff is not changed, master dancers still double the mind and if you're really convinced that buff's are your sole bread and butter then you MUST find some dancing skill tapes and have a tailor make a outfit with dance enhancement so that you can buff even more then 100%.
No, you just think the Buff is your bread and butter, how did all dancers manage before the buff was implemented ?
They were poor next to the combat profession but didn't care much because they like their profession ? ![]()

Yes, well these buffs won't make us entertainers millionaires either so if the buff is the only reason to go entertainer I'd advise against it, you get maybe 5 requests in 20 hours of playing even with a spamming "Buffing for tips" macro in Anchorhead, I know I was there in Anchorhead with 4 different Master Dancers checking in on occasion to (AFK) spam their buff services, I think I actually saw 1 person get a buff from those dancers while I was there.
I know Denisa, I only answered your question about how dancers managed to earn their money before we get something valuable to offer ( read : the mind buff ).
PS: I am ( or was ) a dancer since release.

Exactly Cielago!
Now that said, can we get back OT here and figure out if mind buffs have been nerfed??

I have had very little problems with mind buffs sticking orthe customergetting the fulleffect. Occasionally, I will have someone who has eaten or drank something that will reduce or nullify the buff but other than that no problems.
As far as dancers only making money from buffs, I don't find that to be true at all. When I want to spend some quality time dancing, I can average over 150k in tips for just a few hours work. Of this amount maybe 50k is from buffs. I never have a set rate and tell them to tip what they feel I deserve and never get less than 2k from anyone. The highest tip I ever received was 100k and it wasn't for a buff either..just a poor guy that forgot to clone and needed some serious attention. So if you are depending on mind buffs to make you money then maybe you need to look into another profession.
