Thread: Armor delay = clothing delay?

The delay does not apply to clothes. Believe me I tested it bunches. What I *do not* like though is that when you go to equip armor, it unequips whatever you were wearing then you have to wait about 5 seconds or so before the armor is equiped. But no, it doesn't apply to clothes, only armor items.

Right, only a Dancer pain if you are using some armor accents you are changing out or are really changing in to armor to use... I don't like the nakey time though, I hope they change it.

No no, the "5 second nakey time" is actually "immersion." Can't get enough of that immersion time.

Panthu, have you heard anything about this in the correspondent's forum?

http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=armorsmith&message.id=50710

Apparently on TC there is now a 3-4 second delay before armor is equipped. This mostly affects people who put their armor in their toolbar and use a macro to take it off or put it on quickly. There is no mention of it affecting putting regular clothes on or taking them off...yet.

Do you know if it's going to apply to clothes also? The whole thing seems pointless, but having it affect regular clothing seems especially idiotic. If they did this, it would be yet another slap in the face to entertainers.

Quick clothing changes are one of the few tools we have to make up an interesting show. I have macros to quickly change an outfit during a smokebomb, for example, and I know many, many dancers use this technique. If they force our clothing changes to be delayed, it will certainly screw that up. At the very least we'd have to start writing macros that initiate the change, put in a pause, and then fire the effect. And forget what I often do now, hitting smokebomb and then quickly clicking in inventory to change my outfit.

I don't want to panic before it's warranted, but when I saw this mentioned in my galaxy's forum I was immediately concerned. What's next? They're going to force us all to stay in our "novice entertainer" clothes and only dance footloose?
