From the Publish 9 patch notes (on Test Center), though my fellow Ents might be interested
Will notonly be handy in certain cantinas, but also to block starport yelling. If it works the way I'm imagining.

Just hope that auto-afk becomes more forceful in the future.
I still see too many afk-performers without the AFK tag up for whatever reason.

Adding some positive to it. I do like the ability to filter out AFK text. It's great
.
Especially good that we're able to filter out NPC text [might be troublesome in a few situations, but can shut up the barter bots].

I agree that a lot of players will simply never go afk now. But at least it lets us automatically filter out the majority of the noise then just ignore the few who are trying to work around the system. For afk npcs I'm guessing that means Vendor ad barking and those darned ad barking droids. For which I am *all* for turning those off forever.

Well there is a little good news for a change, thanx Kwee.
I'm still trying to calm down before I post in the 19 questions thread however.

Excellent. That will eliminate 90% of everything said in SWG.

So sad, but not too far from the truth Zarniwooop LOL.
I'm for the forced AFK tag after a certain point. Back when creature handlers were everywhere, in the cantina I leveled in, we had a fun rule. Anyone performing AFK with no tag indicating they were AFK, got covered up by animals. ![]()

You mean... they did something... RIGHT?

Pardon my cynicism. It's been a long time in the making.
