I was just wondering if anyone else has heard of this. I've come across a few posts mentioned that upcoming changes to PvP and PvE will not use/attack mind as much ?

Combat Balance... yep.

We don't have solid details on the changes yet. Hopefully we will soon.

Deila is right... the battle of blue will be ending. I'm just not sure how they will be doing it yet. I'm guessing there will be a few changes, toboth healing and combat.

How is that going to effect people who need eh healing? I'm past taht point but I'd hate to see it hurt people going up our long grind. It took me two months to master dancer actively, a shortage of eh exp could be negative for our up and coming profession members...

This is going to sound negative, but it is merely an observation... What up and coming dancers? I haven't seen a real, honest, new ATK dancer on Scylla in months. The only new dancers are grinders of the week.

i read somewhere that they were making it so mind wasnt a special damage type, and making it equal with action and health. from what i gather (and have read by other people) it will be healable, leaving wounds and fatigue for entertainers to deal with. but who's to say if that is a correct guess or not, we can say, or think one thing, and see the devs do the exact opposite.

I've started a fix for that. Take a look at the thread I started. Let's get the grinder out by having it not count on their jedi quest, while we're at it, let's protect entertainers, image designers and musicians as well from the spammage zones our former homes have become...

I don't think there's any need to panic over anything yet.

Entertainers don't heal mind damage, we heal mind wounds. Mind damage is what's causing the focus in PvP on mind attacks, because mind damage is very difficult to heal on the fly - so they get their mind incaps much faster than health or action incaps. The simplest adjustment would be allowing stims for mind damage, and that would in turn probably only increase the number of mind wounds available for healing, not decrease it. If mind damage could be more readily patched up in the field, then players stay out longer accruing the wounds that come as the result of taking enough big damage hits.

It's all speculation, of course. Let's wait until we have a bit more specific data before we panic too much over it.

solution? they have till publish 9 to grind to unlock, and till publish 10 to grind and still count for something...just be patient...this will happen before any solution ever gets considered or set in place

Haven't seen any details, but I've thought that would just be a given. Any time a combat system turns into a one-trick pony like the mind pool war, you know you've got a weak overall system.
