I think it sounds like fun! I think most (I mean... ALL 
) dancers would love more dances period, but racial dances would be neat to see. And even better if it convinced people to choose other races. Twi'leks and humans pretty much own the dance floor. And think of the shows that could be put on... I like the idea

Just out of curiosity do all species frown when listening to music and watching entertianers or is it just bothans?

If you have a problem with the frowning, try /mood cheerful /mood none; that takes care of most facial problems.

Wouldn't it begreat if dancers of each species had their own dances? Special twi'lek dances, rodian dances, human dances (but only if theirsecondary stats get nerfed! )etc? I think this would make the profession much more interesting and encourage dancers to play a widervariety of species. Something similar would alsobe nice formuscians, but hey this is the dancer forum. The only problem with this that I could see is making sure that all of the dances are equally appealing. Perhaps a dancer could learn a racial dance that is not their own, but take a penalty for performing it, ie, triple the action cost and youcan't do certain flourishes. What do you guys think?

maybe all with 8 Flourishes?
I guess, due to the time involved into making new dances,
i mean Motion Capturing, programming, graphics+art,
Dancers can be happy, to get ONE new dance in the Hutt casino.
But the Idea is cool. Maybe in the future?

This would be great. Especially if the Rodian dances involved people getting hurt.

I don't really see the point. I think it's more important for the Devs to fix the existing dances and add an egg timer to our buffs so we know when they're applied, rather than added more content that's likely to suck.
"Human dance? Hrm. Well, we'll take formal, and swap in the basic flourishes! Yay!"
Bah.
Besides which, would you really want to see a racial Mon Calamari dance? *Shudders*.

Although I think this would be a wonderful thing to see, especially given that there is basis for it in the SW canon, I don't see it happening any time soon. Consider this signed by me though as a wish request

I think it's better to hope for a new dance with sufficient flourishes than to hope for racial dances which would first of all take tons more time, second would only give each dancer one more dance and third may end up in people whining that Race A's dance is better than their's.

I rather see new dances then more updates for "BUFFERS" go macro the 8 mins... sigh afkbots.

I don't think they shouldn't add more dances/ flourishes and instead give one racial dance. How much will content will really be added with the dancer revamp? More flourishes and a timer? Bah to that! It will take to much time? Well excuse me for wanting SOE to pay the same amount of attention to my support profession as they do to the more popular combat professions. And I addressed the issue of "Race A's dance is better than my dance" in my original post. If this were to be implemented, and God I know that nothing player suggested ever is, I think the other races should be able to perform the all or part of the racial dance at a higher action cost and would have to be taught the dance by another player. Sheesh I suggested this as PART of the dancer revamp, not THE dancer revamp. A buff timer anda full set of 8flourishes are obvious fixes to our profession, and has nothing to do with my idea of creative racial dances and this thread. IMHO, the species in this game need to be have more differencesand haveuniqueabilities that reflect their culture, not just a couple skill mods and different stats. It would enrich the roleplaying experience for those of us who consider their species to be a big part of their characters life.

I don't think the post was to be in lieu of fixing the current dances. It was merely an idea to go along with it.
Yes we need the current dances fixed- we need our flourishes.
Yes we need more dances.
And Yesa racial dance would be pretty cool. I mean, Germany has a style of dance. 1600's england does. India, China, Hawaii.... goodness there's a plethora we could pull from. So I could imagine that Bothawui has a certain dance style they tend to use, theat Ryloth definitely does... it's an interesting idea. Though I'd rather have a list of 10 new dances that I could 'buy' one with those extra 900k exp I have laying around and 'customize' my dancers a bit
