Thread: Quick thought
Well since the Entertainer/Musician/Dancer is to mind and BF that Medic/Doctoris to Health and Action,
Docter's can give Massive boosts to Health/Action and the sub catagories, why can't us Dancers/Musicians give a large bonus to Mind and it's sub categories? If you combine the Fatigue/Wound healing treesinto one for both Musician and Dancer (Making the XP per skill equal to Dance/Tech) and making the spare treededicated for Mind buffs. Entertainers shouldnt be able to get the mind buff since Medics can't.
There can be 4 levels to the buff,
1.Novice Dancer/Musician --Roughly +250 to the mind/sub categoryfor 60 minutes.
2. MindEnhancement II-- Roughly +500 to the mind/sub category for 50-60 minutes.
3. Mind Enhancement IV -- Roughly +750 mind/sub category for 40-60 minutes.
4. Master Musician/Dancer -- Roughly +1000 mind/sub category for 30-60 minutes.
When it wears off you can't get another buff for 1 hour. The higher level buffs can give alot more Mind but can also last for less time. Creating a certain curve to the benefit of it.
Since Doctor's can increase the Health/Action I am sure the programming supports this. The only thing I can't think of is how to do it, whether a special dance/song or an item etc.
Implementing this would make theentertainers even better since a lot of people simply clone, not requiring a Entertainer, but if we can give a large bonus to the mind, we can get more people and more money. I was also thinking of some kind of skill that makes it so you can revive an incapacitated character that was incapped because of his/her mind bar. Haven't thought of how to go about that yet.
Anyway, any thoughts/comments on this would be greatly appreciated.

Nice idea, very well thought out! /applaud
It would be very interesting to see something like this implemented. I do have one question, though: should the buffs be applied to everyone who listened to the musician/dancer, or should the entertainer have to target the patron for the buff to work? I myself would prefer the latter, because that way (if you wished) it could work as a payable service. Also, that way a patron could select whether they wanted the buff or not. Just my two creds worth ![]()

You would have to target the person that wanst the buff, otherwise people would get it and take off, or get one they don't want.
I am still not Sure on how to do it though, whether item or special dance, any thoughts?

Anyone checked to see what your faction is when you start a new character?
I had the stupid idea that maybe if you balanced yourself with 0 faction for every faction, perhaps it would lead to something. Maybe you start with 0 faction toward all and this is just another stupid idea... Just thought I'd post it. I was driving home yesterday and trying to think of ways to "attune yourself to the force that surrounds all living things" and this just popped into my head.
