This sounds a lot like it could be intentional. Counter-measures against a flooding client. And it isn't preventing you from doing anything, just disconnecting you with a runaway macro.
Sounds like, but I bet it isn't. I was seeing this before pub 9, while testing the speed buff stuff... I think this is more due to our buggy code than anything intentional. *shrug* Just guessing though. So...
Go bug buster Tiaga go! Let me know if I can help. ![]()

Well, I know that I did 3 powerbuffs yesterday and nary a crash to be seen. Other than doing the powerbuffs I never spam flos so I'm not sure that this would have any true impact on our abilities, intended or not.

Does this only work when nopauses are inserted? If so, no major problem, since pauses should be inserted. If not . . ./sigh . . . how many more bugs are we going to have to live with.

Ok, I actually found a bug initally on Test Center that got transferred to live. Doing too many flourishes will cause you to disconnect from the server, and crash back to the character selection screen. If you have a buff macro that just loops flourishes with no pauses, you'll probably notice it right away. I even think that as you try it multiple times - the crash will happen sooner - to the point where it happens as soon as you start the macro. What was interesting was that the first time I tried it, the macro went for over 10 seconds or so before crashing, then I started crashing as soon as I started the macro. I had a friend of mine try it, and he crashed as soon as he started his macro the first time. I was also able to repeat it by hitting flourishes manually, basically by typing my hotkeys as fast as I could. Anyone else notice this? Any chance we could get a dev to look into it and fix it? I /bugged it in game. Maybe it would help if others did too, if anyone else notices it.

Just tried to reproduce it. Did over 150 flourish attempts at once with no problem.
What sort of connection do you have?

Okay, I upped that to around 750 flourishes at once and that disconnected me. I'll see if I can find where the point is for me. I'll try a few more.

Seems to be around 350 flourishes to cause it to disconnect.
This sounds a lot like it could be intentional. Counter-measures against a flooding client. And it isn't preventing you from doing anything, just disconnecting you with a runaway macro.
Edit: Tried it with something else. Some commands told me too many commands queued, but the ones that didn't I could also use to be disconnected.
