If I could send a thank you gift basket to everyone at SOE for the AFK spam filter I would! Patch 9 doesn't hold much for me as I am not on the Jedi path but this one tiny change made a world of difference for me! I made certain to tell other players who were complaining about all the spatial spam as well and they too seemed most appreciative. I know it's not a big fix for entertainers or anything but it's been so long since I could even hear myself think in some cantinas that I just had to post.

I absolutely agree. I told a few people that were complaining about the lag, and I told them about the new AFK Chatless option.

They were totally blown away! If anything, we should be in the cantinas for a few days making sure we tell people about this. That's where I was yesterday, and I've got to say that it was a pleasant experience not having to see all that spam

It's a shame it's not on by default really. Still when I visited Corlag last night there was barely an AFK spammer to be seen! The difference is amazing, I just hope it stays this way and we don't get too many non-AFK spammers.

Yes, this is what I am affraid off... people will just stop marking themselves as being AFK and *poof* same trouble again...

I hope they are not smart enough to think about this

I love it. Cor last night was... well rather peaceful when compared to what it used to be. Although in theed sadly there was quite a lot of non-afk spam thank goodness we can still /addignore

Unfortunately, like a guildmate pointed out to me, the spammers could put a couple "/afk"s in their macro to take them out of afk to shout then back in.

On Dantoonie last night there was some idiot sat outside the cantina spamming "I'm afk" with no afk tag on. All night. The filter works great

Still, at least we still have /addignore
