When I gave up tailoring on Esharra I Had to immediately train it on my other character, Carenzi. Just because of my senseless curiosity, how many of you have tailor skills, either on your entertainer or an alternate character and can't imagine living in SWG without them?

After having a tailor on Live, I'm slowly weaning myself from the skills on TC. It's hard, really hard. I keep finding myself toying with getting just a little artisan exp, just getting a few boxes. You know, for shoes, maybe some new pants. I remind myself I need those skill points, need them for important stuff like musician, but the wanting... the wanting never stops. I have some good friends, dear friends who stay by me and keep me supplied with new clothes. It helps a lot.

I'm master tailor. I used to know a lot of tailors, and had a huge wardrobe which I didn't really pay anything for. They were all gifts. Unfortunately I still have most those, as I'm a sentimental old fool. The tailors really loved to dress me up, and I loved to let them.
It was a bit of a symbiotic relationship.
Sadly, all the tailors I knew quit. (Though I did recently see one of the first tailor names I heard of reappear in game/on my server. I didn't know they were on my server until about when they quit.) I looked for another tailor, but everywhere I went it was women's clothes, and tailors that didn't have the time it takes to really come up with creative outfits. And with men's clothes, if you don't want to look dull and drab, you need to be creative.
So... I dropped TKM and started making clothes instead. And haven't looked back. (Ack! Wardrobe! I knew there was something I forgot to put in the credits.) I fill the void and specialize in men's clothes, made to fit. I have a very high success rate of getting the men who just come for a black duster to walk away with something interesting and with *gasp* color! Even had someone give up wearing a full suit of composite (Sans gloves and boots, cause they fit the new look) for a new set of clothes I made for them.

On Kauri, a good friend of mine is a Tailor and makes me just about anything I want/need! And, since there's no way I could give up Dancer nor Image Design, I decided to make a Tailor on another server--Eclipse! And, it's very fun!
I'm actually trying to come up with nicer outfits for males. But, it seems that the only things that sell of my vendors are black, red, or white. Oi!

Since I run the LIVE Entertainment guild on Ahazi, I cannot have a proper wardrobe.
Guildhall = 9 lots
Guildhall holds 250 items, which has to include proper decor to show how tasteful and successful we are.
End result, not nearly enough storage for my personal wardrobe needs.

I am not a tailor myself, but I must always be in contact with a master tailor because I am real gay when it comes to my clothes. I just got this SWEEEET outfit that can be only described as 'flambuoyant'. I like it though, the shirt is shiny.
I really am a sucker for a new outfit.

I had to ask Javier to make me something the other night on Bria. He did a fine job, but it was really really hard to let someone else make my clothes... can't LIVE without it.

Only way I can get guys into something not black is to convince them to let me make them something. I find that while they aren't any good at picking out something nice, most guys at least know something nice when they see it and won't turn it down.

my sis is becoming tailor and I fear that my clothing habit will only worsen. Just last night my alt bought almost every clothing item possible in the gold/white scheme... I just love it. I also love love love the site www.swgimagedesign.com the style ideas section is...just awesome. I confess I think I might have this alt soley because my main is a wookiee and they have VERY limited clothing options for female wookiees...

I have a master tailor on 2 servers >_> I am so weak lol
NJ is right..there is no substitute to making your own clothing...there are always things you want that youcan't get across to another tailor properly. I started my tailoring on shadowfire inaugust 03or so and have been a tailor ever since ^_^ No other game has pandered to my love of fashion so much as this one. I doubt I will ever gain the strength to leave it, especially when I see what other games have to offer in this area.

I have, so far, resisted the call of tailor. Without it, I have a bank, a house, and a cantina with many many clothes. I can't even imagine what I would be like if I could MAKE my own clothes ![]()
Of course, Ub-ick on Bria has SOOO many free skill points..............................................
