Seeing as once can't trade lightsabers or anything like that, would it be possible for me to make a lightsaber, drop all of jedi, pick up smuggler, get to the point where I can slice my lightsaber, do that, and then pick jedi back up? hehe, gotta do something while I wait for publish 6

Nope you can't drop sabers even in your house. They stay in your inventory. You used to be able to trade them through vendors but that got nerfed.

I know I was saying if I surrender all my jedi skills and became a smuggler with that very same character. Ludicrous I know.

No.

Force Sensitive characters are unable to pickup any profession other than the jedi profession(s).
(So even becoming Novice Brawler is impossible.)

Well the first and foremost problem with this idea, is that your main character does not become your jedi. You create an entirely new character which is your jedi.

So, no.

I"m thinking a couple of you are missing the point....I've got a Jedi...he has a lightsaber...if you look at the skill sheet, novice Jedi or whatever takes 250 skill points...if you surrender that skill you can pick up whatever you choose, though you will not be Jedi.....

I believe it's been posted in here that you can't drop that skill. Or surrender any of the jedi skill tree. As far as I know if you choose to go to the dark side, you are stuck with it bacause you can't surrender skills.

I never tried surrendering a jedi skill myself, but I tend to believe it's true. After all the character creation process was very different than creating a regular character.

Give it a shot and let us know how it turns out.

More importantly, you CANNOT train in any skill other than jedi. You could have 4000 skill points and you still can't put a one of them into a non-jedi profession.
