I really can't afford to tip the medics who help us out, but I try to invite them into the entertainer group so they can at least get better experience for their healing. And regulars get special attention too, hehe.

Consider this sort of an informal survey...

What do you dancers trypically do regarding your supporting cast.. typically the vastly underappreciated and undertipped Musicians? In my experience the pretty dancers get all the tips and the musicians get ignored. Do you share tips with the poor musicians?

Also, does anyone tip their action healers? Or is it assumed to be a symbiotic relationship?

If it's a musician I work with on a regular basis I have a habit of splitting tips on good nights. For a single musician I normally do 10% if its a regular group of musicians I'll split 20% up among them.

I normally don't tip my healers as it is a symbiotic relationship many times the healers will tip us. I have helped medics with training cash.

I mostly ask the musican (provided thatheis no afk musicans I had to /stoplisten) ifhegot tips. If not I share.

If I get a very high tip I share normally, cause I assume here, that the musican got nothing.

I guess that tip sharing is something that really depends on the circumstances. My totally unscientific estimate is that about a quarter to a third of all cantina customer do not tip at all. I am talking about the ones who are not healing the entertainers.Maybeanother quarter of customers tip over 100 credits. Within that group are the much smaller category of generous tippers; I consider a generous tip anything over 500 credits. Most customer are in between. When you are getting small tips, splitting them is pretty pointless unless you get a lot of them over a long period of time while you are dancing with the same group. I usually ask then over group chat if people, especially the band, are getting tips, and I usually tell the group how much I made. I then tip to other if they have not been getting anything or getting way smaller amounts. Unless the customer tells me that he has tipped the band,I assume the really large tips should be distributed.

I always try to tip the band. They give me a service by providing me with music to dance to . I find more times then not if there is no band and i am dancing in silence i receive less tips because it is boring.

In a large band with skilled players the tips flow much more freely.

I used to play dumbek in a baladi troup and guitar insmall clubs &coffeehouses. I know well how musicians are often payed no more attention than a juke box. I don't expect cantina patrons are likely to be more generous in game than IRL.

I tip the musicians under these conditions: If I am in the cantina to dance rather than for a short time to get rid of my own BF (I don't join the groupthen either); if the musician is participating in the show and not AFK; and a little extra if they're talking up the crowd, running the group or putting in extra effort in other ways. I also tip the medic if there is one who's been healing me for a while, either with credits or with stimpacks.

I don't share my tips with anyone. The person giving the gift intended it for me so I keep it. That being said there has never been a time when I have said no to someone who asked for my help either with a donation of credits or skill use/training.

As far as offering to tip someone who anonymously heals me... No, I only tip/pay healers who I have asked to come out of their way at expense to themselves or when I go into the medical clinic in search of quicker wound healing.People that just throw out a heal during a dance are just offering a gift as far as I am concerned.

If I make any decent amount of tips, I will share them with one or two of the musicians, provided they aren't AFK, like many entertainers are wont to do. Of course, there is a qualifier. If the musician is just one that runs in and out (I've seen that a lot), no tip for them! The musicians I see on a regular basis? I tip them if/when I get tipped.

As for the medics who heal during dances, I generally see it as a symbiotic relationship. If I'm wrong in this point of view, I apologize to the healers. I have been known to tip a medic when they were instrumental in getting me to the next level of dance, however. There have been several occasions when the healer told me that they were just earning XP when I thanked them.

Speaking of thank yous, I'll accept those just as willingly as a tip.

I tip musicians.. when they aren't AFK or non-flourishing and driving me insane.. and when the tipis an amount that's worth anyone's while TO split.

I tip healers as well, but more often those who are sitting in the cantina, long term, and allowing me to continue to perform. I've also tipped healers very generously to 'stick around' when I'm close to leveling and the idea of stopping is mortifying
