Thread: How to do dancing missions?
I don't get it, can someone explain?
The waypoint is in front of the hotel, and there's nobody for me to dance for, I've tried dancing on the stage, in front of people.. no dice. Am I doing something wrong?
Some of these work, some don't. The waypoint is in front of the building in which you are supposed to perform. Go inside, start dancing, and go for as long as you can (don't flourish too much because I'm not sure how long it takes to complete the mission).
If you can find them for your regular spot, you're getting a nice tip just for extra ![]()
First, find the Dancer Trainer. She's usually in the theatre guild building upstairs (most cities anyway). Next to her should be a noble or some other different NPC who gives the entertainer quests.
Also, I've heard of people getting entertainment quests while out in the wilderness, from random roaming NPCs. i haven't seen one yet, but I'm still looking.
Got mine from a gungan hermit out in the middle of BFE. ![]()
Thanks, was wondering what was up!
Every dancong mission I have done takes about 5 minutes of dancing STRAIGHT.
The first time I did a misson, I didn't get paid. Because I started dancing in one spot, then saw the stage and went over there and danced. Since I stopped the action, I failed the mission.
Entertainer mission waypoints bring you to the entrance of the building where you are supposed to perform.
When you do an entertainer mission, make sure you look at the mission description to find out if you are supposed to dance or play an instrument. Dothe wrong one, and you don't get a reward. This sounds simple, but I remember playing slitherhorn once for ten minutes before realizing that I should have been dancing.
When you are doing an entertainment mission, usually, you have to do quite a few flourishes. I've found that most entertainment missions that I have gotten require aboutfive minutes of performing so long as I do plenty of flourishes (these missions pay about 500 cr.) However, sometimes instead of flourishing they require that you change dance styles or songs while you perform, so make sure you read the mission description to see what is required.
yep, they have appeared in the wilderness.... i was doing destroy missions outside of Keren, Naboo and there was a camp of RSF commando's and one of them gave me a gig mission to Deeja Peek. I decided to walk it (the 2 cities only being 5k apart) and half way there ran across a Gungan camp and was given ANOTHER music/dance gig mission! Big Woohoo...... except then the gungan's buddy decided to shoot me and slay me... LOL and then my server crashed. oh well.

I've been hearing about entertainer mission terminals but have yet to see one.
I think part of the trick to finding a gig might be click on every NPC that you can converse with to see if they have anything interesting to tell you. But you can almost always count on finding a gig at a theatre in a major city. There's usually a couple of nobles in the wings of the theatre who are willing to offer you a gig - even if they are often a little rude.
As for the timing, I've found two things: Musician's gigs are a heck of alot easier than dancer's gigs, because it doesn't sap as much energy to flourish on an instrument as it does while dancing. I can flourish my heart out as a musician and never break a sweat, but as a dancer, I only flourish often enough to keep my dancing experience in the double digits while I'm dancing a gig - otherwise I'm afraid I'll drop from exhaustian and lose the gig.
On the one hand, gigs don't pay very much money - but it's a guaranteed "tip" for five minutes od dancing. You probably can't guarantee that in any other cantina. It's a great way to see the world though, explore other towns, meet other entertainers. (The gigs I've taken have usually been in deserted cantinas or hotels, but when I'm in town, I always look for places where entertainers may be congregating.)
I've started taking my partners (non-entertainers) on gigs with me. While I'm dancing or playing music, they wander off for some surveying and find missions. Afterwards, I join them on their missions or go browse the bazarr for something new and flashy.
