There has been a lot of suggestions thrown around for a tip autosplit.. Some of the complaints about it are that sometimes someone wants to tip a specific dancer.

So how about a middle ground - leave tipping the way it is. But add a command to tip all entertainers being watched/listened to. Maybe /tip without a name, so just /tip 500 would split 500 credits among everyone being watched/listened to. This would include all entertainers currently performing in the group of someone being watched, as well as multiple people/groups being watched.

There are some drawbacks to this - namely if someone sits down at the wrong time they miss out. Though the drawbacks are not limited to that. However it is better than the alternative. It gives people a way to tip everyone in a large band without having to spend time tipping everyone individually, which can be a big pain having to type out everyone's name. It appeals to the laziness inherent in people. Plus, having it appear in a patch message will remind people to tip, and get some people to try it out just to see.

Since musicians can play longer than dancers can dance, this will favor musicians more than dancers. However as a dancer myself, I have no problem with that.

What do others think of this idea?

I think the best solution would be a /grouptip command that would tip everyone in the group. So if there's 10 people in the group and I /grouptip 1000, then everyone gets 100 credits.

Oh, and if you want to complain about those afk dancers soaking up money this way... easy... kick them out of the group
