Thread: Your #1 issue?
I haven't seen a recent thread about this, so I thought I'd start one. Add your #1 issue here and explain briefly what you'd like to see changed.
My #1 issue is falling. Earlier today I counted eight falls in five minutes, including two in a row at one point. I'm a novice dancer and seem to be falling more now than I was going up the entertainer tree. This has been happening to me repeatedly in the pastseveral days since I became a novice to the point that I've become a running gag in my guild cantina (where I'm usually the only dancer - "We should pad the floors for you! Did someone spill something? Let's make a bet about how long it will take for her to fall ag- Nevermind, there she goes!"). I look more like a clown than a graceful dancer. It's sapping my desire to even continue to dance.
What I'd like to see: Dancing falls eliminated or greatly reduced.
Yes I agree... Falling would be my number one issue as well. WIth experience capped out at 900,000 past Master Dancer, one would think I would be able to stay on my feet.
Second thing I would push for would be more flourishes for the exotic line of dance. Two different flourishes plus the wiggly giggly flourish 4 thats on all exotic dances, Which I never use unless I push it by accident... is not nearly enough. Even when changing between exotic2, 3, and 4 (I dont use 1, looks like I am loosing my balance) its still rather limiting.
Third, I would want something in game to end the afk macro dancing. When dancing I am most always in Dearic Cantina on Talus. Very often I am the only "live dancer" in the cantina. Its amazing how many people will watch one of the other lower level afk dancers. I worked hard to achieve master dancer, and was present at my keyboard for every single experience point I got. Those that take the easy, lazy way out, macroing thier way to dancer give a bad reputation to the dancer profession as a whole. Not to mention, making easy tips and experience for doing nothing but running a macro.
The fourth, would be more choices in wardrobe.. but I hear that is coming soon. Trying not to get my hopes up too much, I am afraid I will be disappointed with what we get.
My #1 issue:
Either cut down on the massive amounts of XP required to get the next skill, or give more XP per flourish so the 1 skill in the 2nd tier does not take 2 full RW days of non-stop flourishes. I hardly ever dance anymore, cause my marksman skills are going up fast than my dancing skills. And that is really really sad.
Absolutely. At this time, Falling on my ass is my #1 issue. Please remove the falls.

#1) Falling, especially at Master Levels.
#2) Flourish action cost should go down with improved skill, not up.
#3) Dancers should self buff themselves along with the spectators. (The Dancer is more in-tuned mentally with the dance than the people watching are)
#4) Mental stat buff durationshave too much downtime. (15 min downtime vs 30 min buffs)

Flurry Master Dancer
Not enough reasons to keep dancing after reaching Master Dance Level. I heard that a class (think its BH or smuggler) can change in extra xp for t hings. That would be great for the dancing profession. Change in xp after master dance level for new flourishes or clothing or something.
I still dance but I find myself very bored even though I visit different cantinas and have my own player owned one. There are no challenges left.
Oh, also, give us a longer mind buff! That would really really help our class. Maybe double or triple it at Master lvl (in length not strength). Thats the biggest request I have from people now.

Hard for me to choose number one issue between AFK macroing and the falling rate at master. Master dancers shouldn't be falling-it was amusing during the entertainer tree but it makes putting on a good show impossible because we have no control over falls.
Yup. I agree with this 100%. Both issues are up there but falling is much more important because I cannot control it in any way. At least LAMErs I can control to a degree -- if they start doing it and I am group leader I can boot 'em. If not I can leave the group and, if necessary, the venue. There are a few cantinas where this seems to be done and others where it doesn't... I can just go to the ones where it isn't done.
But falling, there is nothing I can do about. I can't wear better clothes that don't tangle me up as much to decrease falling. I can't drop back to an "easier" dance to decrease falling. I can't learn a "falling prevention" skill to decrease the falling rate.
And you know what really ticks me off? If we fall SO MUCH (it seems to be at least 5% of the time and often more) why the heck do musicians never -- and I mean not EVER -- hit a flat note?
Either we need to stop falling or they need to be forced to make mistakes at the same rate... otherwise it's just not fair. A musician can play all night, any song, and never make a mistake, but a "Master" Dancer falls on her booty once a minute?? Something is wrong.

Number one issue is no access to game content, which is designed exclusively for fighting professions. It basically forces a decision between acquiring a fighting profession as your second one or remaining permanently outside the quests and galactic conflict.
