Thread: Anyone ever had this happen before?
Last night while dancing in the cantina I traded with an overt guild member which made me TEF. I knew I would be TEF before hand, but the cantina was fairly empty and I've become a familar face and the only master dancer among a few other younger dancers in this particular cantina. So I wasnt too worried about it, wasnt even really worried about being attacked or even dying. I figure its gonna happen sooner or later, but I figured I would have the chance to at least inflict a couple of wounds and who knows, maybe even come out on top as I feel Icould hold my own pretty well in a one on one fight.
Imagine my surprise, when a fella stood up and started taking shots at me and I found I could do NOTHING to retaliate or defend myself! I apparently got stuck in dance mode, my attack was on, but I could not move forward, stand, or /stopdance to get myself to stop dancing. I got the message that I was not dancing, yet,I was clearly still animating the dance, myself and everyone in the cantina could see it. Nor could I equip my weapon or shoot back at him. In fact I couldnt even open my inventory or switch to my combat hotkey bank. The only thing I was able to do was continue dancing until he incapped me. Unfortunately he was not overt or TEF that I could tell, so I could not initiate combat with him for payback once I stood up.
I did however make use of the new /denyservice command, which I had not planned on ever having to use.
