Thread: Striking a blow for male dancers everywhere!
Hellopeople I am a male dancer. I will not mention names or a server in my story but I will say this event happened in the Anchorhead tavern. And now, with no further introduction, I tell you what happened to me today.
It all started as a quiet day in anchorhead, the local rebels were shouting rhetoric about something or other in the cantina and trying to raise enough hands for a raid on bestine. Life as usual for me. I never put much stock in either side and always took steps to remain impartial to either side, lest I get caught in the middle of their mindless conflict. I noticed my wife had yet to log on so I decided to start dancing. I never danced for tips, I always danced simply because I love to dance. I danced so often I made it all the way to a mastery of the art of dancing.
Most of the people in anchorhead knew me already and I had a large group of customers who called me friend and made a point to always tip me well. My wife and I were partners however and I felt sort of naked dancing without her formal attire notwithstanding. I was going into a favored routine of mine and I was interacting with the sparse crowd as best I could.
Suddenly out of nowhere I heard blasters outside. It seems the Imperial army had caught the entire city off guard. While the rebels, some of my loyal customers among them, rushed outside the tavern to meet the threat head on. While I remained neutral I must say that I respect the courage of the rebels to rush into certain death for their convictions. But greater numbers and firepower prevailed as the group of Imperials faction pets and ATSTs in tow had overwhelmed the short handed and under powerered rebel defenders.
Confident in their total victory around 10 Imperial soldiers put away their pets and strutted into the cantina to gloat and boast to whoever would listen. I, who had barely poked my head out of the cantina to send my friends blown to tiny bits, had remained for most of the battle inside the cantina in a state of shock, barely noticed them come in and site down. My wife, who had just logged on, was also suprised, I told her privately what had happened.
My wife was considerably more in the rebels camp than I and was to put it lightly, enraged. I however did my best to restrain her from attacked for I knew she had no combat skills. However she finally listened to reason and calmed down.
One Imperial, whom all the others seemed to revere, and whom they called leader, began to speak. He demanded that my wife dance for him. Restraint notwithstanding she refused as politely as her convictions would allow her to. So as to not bring the wrath of the Imperial officer down upon us, I apologized for my wife and offered to dance for his group. He then informed me that I was a homosexual and he was not, he insisted that my wife dance, she again refused. He then proceded to insult my wife in less the savory ways.
I, who had endured quite enough of the abuse and profanity informed him that it would be in his best interests to stop right now, before anyone got hurt. For I was quite confident in my skills, I had mastered the art of Teras Kasi long before I ever danced a single step. However I was heisitant to throw down the gauntlet, their leaders title as a gunfighter spoke volumes to me.
Of course, he full of bravado, challanged me to a duel first. I accepted when I was in punching range and I quickly slid on my best vibro knuckler, he was so suprised that a master male dancer would have any combat skills his reactions were very slow. I was quick to pick his weakness and I incapacitated him in turn.
I was so stunned that I actually managed to defeat him, I almost forgot to deathblow him as I stood over his limp body. This Imperial was the only onewho brought any ATSTs. This left the invaders without any heavy artillery and the remaining rebels quickly rallied and drove the last of them off. I had struck a blow for my class, and my friends.
After this I had made up my mind that these Imperials were evil and most be stopped. I proceded to do missions for the rebels until such a time as they would allow me to join. Later that day I participated in a raid on Bestine, and I played a hand in the destruction of that same Imperial officer's ATSTs. I felt 100% vindicated.
However I have not found a need to stand up for myself yet. Perhaps it will just take that one time to convince me.
What a fantastic story!
Thank you for sharing it.
I've recently picked up the art of fencing. Partially because the forms and stances compliment my dancing skill. But also because the blade is a good thing to have handy when needed.
