I was trying to design a macro so I could talk to players a bit more, and it seems I cannot use the /changedance command with the Popular dances, it says I do not know the dance, what am I doing wrong??

Maybe this is a little obvious but... Do you know the dance? When you do /startdance, does Popular or Popular2 show up?

Good question, but yes I do; I mastered dancer yesterday morning. I was pulling the names off of my toolbar, also with the Rhymtmic 2dance as well though I thought that perhaps I was spelling that one wrong (continuously) ;-)

Well for the 2s, there is no space: Popular2, not Popular 2, etc.

I've never noticed any problems with that before. Unless it's some recent issue (and admittedly I have been a little "out of the loop" recently), I would think you've got a misspelling somewhere. The only time I've ever had that problem is when I did a typo on the name of the dance I wanted to /startd or /changed to. You can always try it from the command line while you're dancing to make sure, but check your spelling for the dance. Be sure you type 'popular' (not 'popular1') for the first dance and 'popular2' with no space between the 'r' and '2' for the second version. Also I'm not sure if capitals affects it, but I always use lower case so try not using any caps in the dance name. If you've done all that and are still having a problem, then there might be a bug that needs to be looked into.
As for rhythmic, that one is a lot easier to mistype (and I frequently do

double check your spelling and yeah the spaces (it's poplock not poplock1 or poplock 1 and poplock2 as stated before)

I tested this earlier and it seemed to be ok. I often mistype poplok for poplock, footlose for footloose though. (which is why I have /changedance "name" macros on my hotbar
)
