Hmm... Well, the problems of coordinated performances is that a lot of people don't bother coordinating the base dances or don't know how. Everyone starts migrating and eventually what was a line has become some strange looking octagon. Also, if you don't use a macro, you can set your anchor point yourself by starting your flourishes when you are at the spot you want to be. It's pretty easy to keep yourself centered even with some of the more ... Dynamic dances.

This is an EXCELLENT idea!! I am a master dancer and this really gets quite annoying.

While controlling drift can be done with current game mechanics it's a total pain. changing dance to relocate the character can also be disruptive to performance. Anchor points would rock but the ability to reposition the character without breaking the dance would also be a nice addition. Perhaps a few flourishes that DON'T return you to the point of origin.Another cool option would be to have "coreographer" commands. It could work similar to the patrol point thing that's already been mentioned. Imagine if the group leader could set "formation points" for each member of the group according to thier order in the group and they coulddo this prior to the performance. Durring the performance they could issue formation commands that would reposition all dancers in the group into a formation. If accepting formation commands could be toggled the sameas bandflo commands such that it can't be used for griefing i think it would be a great skill.

I'm not sure if this was discussed already, I searched but didn't find anything on it.
I think dancers should be able to set an "anchor" point on the ground nearby them. When the dancer got so far away from it (maybe they could set the distance?), they would automatically reposition to the anchor point. This anchor point could only be placed while "dancing", and when you stop dancing it vanishes. It gets annoying when your dancer slowly migrates across the room and this would help keep them in place. The repositioning would also need to override macros, meaning when you got so far away and started to reposition your macro didn't accidentally kick off another flourish keeping you from repositioning to the anchor point. Instead, while repositioning you'd get a system message that says something like "You cannot "whatever" while repositioning". Just a thought.

They would rock for sync dances, I'm dying for these. I think they could maybe work like CH patrol points.
