80+% macrotainers though, and I will -never- thank them just for buffing our population so we'd get updates! Besides, they're already planning more for us right? I've seen Esh mention more coming many times and I havn't grown bitter and untrusting yet.

I was equally surprised to see us so high on the list. And I'm sure that FS grinders make up a huge percentage of our population..I don't think there is a way to break down the numbers on that though. I understand very well the role player demographics has in influencing mmo dev content decisions. Devs build games in the directions that the players are playing them. I just wish more of our numbers were from players who really wanted to be dancers. Too bad so many who would like to play dancer are hesitant to because of the skill point investment.

Why is Politician on there? Doesn't take any skill points. But if they're putting those on there, too, then why not the pilot professions? lol Just doesn't make sense to me. But yeah, I agree, we're only in the middle because of the AFKers. We might as well take advantage of it, though, right? Use our power of quantity over quality and demand some content and such..

Pilot was a seperate list. I didn't include it, but here it is:

3. Imperial

2. Rebel

1. Neutral

That just seems weird to me, but its their stats not mine.

Oh, and they did add that all the pilots were very close to each other in numbers.

Politician started out as a regular profession and is a "ground" profession still, so maybe that's why its there? It doesn't cost any points to be one so perhaps its not surprising that its listed so high?

Wow does anyone else think it is pathetic that Lightsaber is the 12th highest mastered profession in the game? Yikes! And I thought people were kidding when they said, "There are more Jedi than there are Rangers."

LOL...

Boy looking at that list, it is quite easy to see SOE has problems with this game.

This Friday's feature listed the most played professions. I would have done a clicky, but thought hey I can't do that and besides why do a clicky if I can cut and paste the info, so here goes. SWG most played professions from LEAST to HIGHEST:

I am a little suprised that squad leader is so low... squad leader are base slicers. You cannot destroy a base in without a Squad leader. This might be an indication of a general lack of interest in the GCW.

When the game started wasn't dancer in the top ten?

Rank order is VERY deceiving you know. If there are 1,000,000 Jedi, and 1,000 dancers, out of two professions, dancers are "second most popular" but they're also the equivalent of not even present in the game.

I'd love to see the actual profession-frequency distribution (I know they won't give us total numbers because they hide how many players there are in the game, and have been ever since the population flattened off way below the half million they originally predicted).

My guess is, the bottom 10-15 professions make up about 10% of the total playerbase, and so whether you're 21 or 31 probably is a difference of a few hundred toons total.

Maybe I am missing it... but there are no master entertainers?

And yes, it is deeply sad that there are more full template Masteries in Jedi (Light Saber plus Defender) than in Entertainer (Dancer and Musician). Not surprising, just very sad.

It looks like they just left out the Novice profs and just pulled Elites. Which is a shame, because I thinkMaster Ent actually would give a good indication ofreal Entertainers. Not that we all always have Master Ent, I know I don't on all my chars, but I get it as often as I can fit it in and I knowit's a purely Social thing.

I also think the non-Master stats for Dancer are probably a better indication of players using it for pure Social purposes. Maybe not though, it's so hard to tell with all of the Master FS Grinder Dancers.

I say we let go of the FS turn in and run the numbers for Ents again. Also, it would be cool to know how many people have the Theater quest song and dance.
