Thread: Make Master something worthwhile *Please*

I want them to start adding content to master. I'm tired of there being nothing significant about master of the elite entertainer professions as much time as we put in to getting there, those of us who actually have done the work. The basic buffs need to be master entertainer & novice dancer & musician, and the extended ones need to be master dancer & musician instead of novice. It will give people something to look forward to, and those of us who have stuck it out through being pointless because of CAs and nerfs something to have a profession for again.


All these new dances went to low levels, it's time to make there be a reason to excel again.


I'm glad that we are getting something as entertainers - but I've been a master dancer since July 22nd, 2003 - and I'm tired of master dancer and master musician getting overlooked.


I know a lot of people will probably flame me - but I know there are also a lot of the Real entertainers out there who feel the same way.


Things to give to Master Dancer & Musician instead of lower levels:

- dual wield of entertainer props

- new dances & songs in the improvedversion suchasTumble 2 or Bunduki 2(people who are working up the lines are new to it all anyway, this new stuff is for those of us who have been sitting around in the professions for a while, give us a reason to exist)

- the extended line of new buffs

I'm guessing a fame ranking system with liketitles, cash, and prizeswill eventually get put in as an "end game" for Dancers. I'm not sure, but I think that's where we're headed if they keep working on us.


Maybe it will be questy, maybe competitive, maybe we'll get new scrolls for dances and songs even - I don't know, but that's my guess for how they'll handle Master content enhancements for us if they do.

I already ranted about this idea somewhere else, I'll save the lecture. It's just that giving all these useful new buffs to masters only would eradicate the effectiveness of dabbling, something I couldn't live without.Find something else to hoard, just not the buffs, please?


... Jedi buff for masters? Quest buff that increases the payout 10%? Oh, that would be nice...

I totally agree that masters should get something special, something worth it, but here is a little incident that just happened that might cheer you up a little... maybe.

I was just dancing in the back room of the Dantooine mining outpost cantina just to chill out between bol groups for a little. Next to me was an afk master. A patron came in an shouted to his mates, "there are better entertainers in the back here" and said "AFK-Dancer is the best one to watch". I got a little mad since I was right next to her and atk, and asked him about it. He said that she was buffing him quicker (which is quite right since I only have 4040).

Just a post really to note that some of the community do notice the difference between a master and a novice, and do prefer to use them.

Please forgive my ignorance oh holy dancers that I love so much /bowhead but, no master profession really has a lot going for it. Sure little things are avaliable, but the devs seem to support dabbling more. Even in the jedi profession there is an absence of goodies in the master titles. I do agree that this deffinitly needs working on, but I'm not going to hold my breath and am just suggesting you don't ether.
