Inspiration buffs now show fly text over player. It ticks off at 10min per and you can now see how much time you have on it by your player name as you are getting it. They removed the "Your inspiration buff has increased"system message

Oh come on, say this ain't true!
I don't want even more %/(§($/§ text over my char, this is not WoW Devs don't try to copy it completely.
Give back the system messages (or make it a toggle in the options)
And don't give me the "We want to reduce spam in the system messages window"!
I consider "You gained Rifle experience" to be 1000 times more spam than "You gained 1432 Rifle experience".
Want to know why? Because the first one tells me absolutely nothing. I know that I shoot a rifle and that I won't get Dancing XP for it.
The second one at least tells me how much XP I got (and no, I do not want to look at the nice purple numbers flying out of the corpse - which is not accurate anyway the moment you get more than one type of xp, like weapon and medical XP)

It's a little shocking when you first see it - the name of the buff you are getting is shown this way too, but it's not really that bad in a world where we already have particle effects like this.
I mean, it's as believable/unbelievable as the particle effects that you get while being Doc buffed... and some of those are huge!

I know!
There are already TOO MANY particle effects in the world. Doc buffs, Jedi spamming their stupid specials, now even more spam with everything?
Give us a "Turn all Particle effects off" switch in the options. Then those who think they effects are great (like the devs, and the two other players) can watch them all days, and the rest can turn them off and watch system messages again.

LOL, I just bumped my memory from 1 gig to 2 so I'd stop having issues with the lovely particle effects. Wonder if I can bill SOE???

Gah particle effects. How I hate them so.
I think the effects dev spent too much time playing COH or something and has superhero envy....
