Thread: State of the Game, Hutt Casino, Jedi, and such
Oopsy, Clicky
.Let's try to keep all of our upset posts or concerns in this one thread instead of filling the forum with new ones. I'm trying to lure some redtags in here and they won't come into a warzone. ![]()
You can be upset, let's just keep it tidy!

Hmm well.... lets see they have ID stuff... Wookie... More chat channels( I thought we could make these ourselves already...) Then we get Crafting/ Entertainer Quests (What does this mean though ?) Ohh more Emotes..(which I love but really doesn't help much) Wookies again...
So I'm guessing that means that before JTL we got More Chat Channels.. More Emotes both of which are an everyone kind of thing and not of any sort of direct action targeting us specificly... Then there is Crafting/Entertainer Quests... which does sound like it might help a little... like a band aid on a 12 inch open chest wound.
I made a little joke post earlier tonight in a thread a little farther down... sadly this makes me think of that post a little less like a joke. Hmm I have nasty little demons telling me things to write but I think I'll listen to my good judgement right now and leave it till later.
Mini Publish 9.2
Crafting/ Entertainer Quest
+70 emotes (these could be cool, but if there is anything even remotely like the /lick command there will be one ticked off little Zabrak!
Someone else mentioned about wookies being more important than all our Ent classes combined. The get love two or three times before us. Not that I begrudge them. It just shows us our dwindling numbers. The Devs will go for the greater good for the greater base.
On an upbeat note I do appreciate the honesty opposed to lip service.
I'm just not sure how much more disappointment I can take.
Folks, if you're in this profession because of what may be coming down the pipeline, and not for what we have today, then I recommend you go find another profession to enjoy until the changes you want to see are fixed.
There is no way the entertainer professions, with our tiny comparative numbers and split player base, will ever get the same attention as the rest of the professions. Not gonna happen. Fuggetaboutit.
If you enjoy dancing today, then you're in the right profession. If you're not enjoying it and merely staying here holding out hope for changes that might revitalize things for you, well...take it from someone who has been there and back again. That way contains nothing but endless frustration. You'll be waiting and hoping forever. Find something else to do that you do enjoy.
Ok, no more serious Javy for today.
I, too, appreciate the honesty. I appreciate my expectations being set appropriately for their plans. I'm glad we got it up front instead of hidden in the second paragraph of a sidepostaboutJTL.I'm just not too sure how much good re-doing the entertainer missions will do for the utter dispair that I'm hearing other entertainers express. Are the devs aware of how incredibly bad morale has gotten?
Sometimes I feel like I'm spending half my game time telling friends to keep their chin up.

/sigh
I really wonder what SOE is thinking, they are ignoring their existing player base to develop a game that I for one have absolutly no interest in. Nothing I have seen about JTLS would entice me to purchase it. If I wanted a space combat game I would have bought that instead of SWG. Considering how long it will take to bring JTLS to market and the resources they will have to devote to fixing it because they will rush it like everything else they do, any new content or even fixes for our profession is at least a year away. I really wonder how many people will be content to put up with the current incomplete and flawed entertainer professions for another year?

Here is the way I look at it... there are two options.. Keep on schedule and push something out that is non funtional sub par art... plagued with bugs.... knowing the history of how long some noncombat issues take to get resolved... Or .. Wait a little while longer and have it released completed and done the right way ... ( ok there is a third but I dont think anyone would accept just not geting it.)
I started as a dancer and am in the process of mastering it again.. I am looking forward to some of this new Socially Focused Content.. But I personally would rather wait a little while if it meant that what I got would be better..
Dancers,
You are not alone in this take a look over at the Smuggler boards. We are as upset with the state of things to come as it appears some of you are.

It appears that the letter was not supposed to be released yet. The Smuggler Correspondant didn't even know that it had been released andhadto feign ignorance about the issue.
None of the links to theletter work anymore, but one of our smuggler friends copied a good deal of it into a post. So, here is the post, minus a few things...but most of those deal with Jedi.

- Crafting/ Entertainer Quests
- New Chat Channels
- Hutt Casino
I know from seeing G's redraft that he considered what we said. I hope more information will be forth coming.
Please note: This has nothing to do with our bugs or our Bot situation. These are separate from new content like Missions, Dances, and the Casino. We are being pushed back in the fight for New Art, not on our other issues and bugs.
