besides the fact they're worth 147 credits even if your a 2/2/2/2 Dancer. I went to this player city cantina on Kauri and it said to dance at it. Well I've been dancing with and without my macro for about ten minutes, inside and outside the cantina and nothing has happened. What in gods name is up with this?

They have been utterly (sp?) useless since there were created.

Hee!

Well, not *completely*

Back when I started playing the first time...about 3 days after release, I did entertainer missions. Everybody was new, nobody had any money. I certainly didn't, nor did I have any way whatsoever to make money except to do the missions.

So, I talked to the nobles. I quickly realized that the payouts for the missions barely covered airfare if that much. So, I just kept getting missions and deleting them until I got two in Theed. I did them. Got paid a little. Wash. Rinse. Repeat. Granted, it was very time consuming. But, I was able to make enough money to pay for the bare essentials...training when I needed it and couldn't find someone...an article of clothing here or there. But, it did help me somewhat.

Of course, that's not to say that I don't think they could have been *vastly* improved. But, just that they weren't completely useless.

They're good for a laugh! Once in a while someone will sneak off from a group and get one just to see everyone else get a chuckle when the system messages comes up notifying them of the 7 credits they earned for their share.

Some Entertainer mission terminals are so bugged that they use the Combat con system, so your able to get some 3k missions in some towns if you equip the baddest T-21 or Krayt Laser

That is so pitiful.

I remember a time when missions actually worked. There were missions where you were sent off-planet to various places and you entertained and got paid enough (as long as you took 2 missions)so that you'd have a nice profit after your expenses. Not only that, but you saw a lot of the universe into the bargain and interacted with more of the community. Sadly, these missions didn't last long. For some reason they were scrapped almost as soon as they appeared, to be replaced by useless $150-per-mission gigs that don't even pay rent. Since then, the entertainer community has had no incentive to travel, and for the average playerthe daily grind has become just like a day at the office. You see the same people day-in and day-out, and you do the same old moves over and over until you get sick to death of the whole thing. You can't afford to travel, and you can't afford the finer things in life. I get enough of that in real life. I don't need it from a game.

Since June 2004, running one of the game's first completely nonviolent characters. Testing the limits of non-combat MMORPG play and trying to have fun into the bargain (although the developers make it difficult).

Combat is no longer compulsory.
