Hi all,
I do not have an entertainer character myself, but i have been thinking about doing the proffesion, ya know just to see how it is.
But i just wanted to toss in my support against the buff-bots and afk holotainers. I really hope SOE will get their finger out soon and help you guys with the issues that has been around lately.
I miss going into a cantina after a long days hunting, and just talk with some of you awesome ladies and gents. Its something thats really been hard to do as of late. Mainly because of all the afk-holo-tainers and their spamming macros.
I was actually thinking of a rather simple solution to get rid of the buff bots, for several reasons. But mostly because they take away your only "real" source of income, the great mind buffs.
The solution is easy... simply remove the /join and /invite commands. and only allow people to join groups by actively clicking yes on the box that pops up when you get invited, not just pressing enter but have the mouse cursor up there . As simple as that you could kill off the horrible bots.
anyways, keep up the wonderful work. I am glad that you guys are around, and always try and use the ATK entertainers both for buffs and healing.

It would certainly help.
I thank you for your support as well . . . its nice to know we "live" ents still have fans.

Always love to hear the support for the social professions as social professions! Thank you so much for taking the time to say so. You may or may not know just how much this means to us right now, to hear that we're really appreciated. It means a lot right now.
I know you're out there... the ones who miss the cantinasbeing the social hubs that the devs intended them to be. They justaren't the social hubs now, are they? They're just to full of AFK and spammers to ever have a chance at being what they were intended to be... places for players to meet up and socialize, to relax and mingle, and to make new friends.

Thank you so much!! ![]()
And if there's anyone else out there that misses Live Entertainers, don't be shy! Post your concerns here, let the Devs know that the social aspect of the Entertainer Professions are something to strive for ![]()
See you on the dance floor!

First, thank you so much. Every time somebody posts something like this, it does a world of good for our morale considering how often we seem to be put down.
And, to add to Kreistor's request...I think that is a wonderful idea. As entertainers, we can complain all we want and it doesn't seem to do any good. But, if more of the player community as a whole would actually take the time to make a post in support of our professions, and say how important it is to this game, it might be more effective. As an example...it's not like the tailors are hurting. And, I'm not a tailor. But, the tailors are *instrumental* in my enjoyment of this game. I dunno what I'd do without them! And, I know there has to be other non-entertainers out there who feel that way about us. Believe me, if I saw the tailors getting run into the ground like we are, I'd be the first one in there showing my support.
Let the devs know that we are important to the overall gameplay and that, without us, the game wouldn't be nearly as enjoyable. It boggles my mind that the devs aren't doing anything to stop the belittling and devaluation of our profession...the profession that they, themselves, touted as being revolutionary. They just seem to be sitting back and letting it die.

You are all more than welcome,I know my single input wont get the attention of the devs. But I just wanted to show that someone does care about the social professions. Dancers, Musicians and IDs alike.
All of you have a horrible time these days, Dancers and Musicians with the buff bots. And even worse, ID's with their new interface. It now takes longer for them to master their proffesion than it does a Bountyhunter. So except for jedi, noone has that long a level process. Which is just wrong. It shows to me that SOE once again only caters to the people with the "leet Uber mentality" (for SWG that means the combat proffesions),and it's the reason i left Everquest.
I did a small personal protest against SOE today, I know this wont mean jack to them either. But it means something to me.
I dropped all combat and crafting. And took up novice dancer. I still havent danced or played an instrument lol.. I have been too shy about it. So i have no clue what so ever on what to do, heck i don't even have a nice outfit. Just my mix and match armor hehe.
But i am hoping i can get to meet some of you on Scylla =) (maybe tutor me a little in how this is done? hehe)
Anyway, i am glad my little post brought a little light into your day. And i plan to stick around alot more =)

Taken from our very own Master Dancer contact list, which are master dancers who have agreed to be contacted for teaching and training, as well as for buffs and such:
Scylla
Vosien
Pisceana Vespucci
Belial'a
Vosien
Pisceana Vespucci
Belial'a
There's the list so far from Scylla... try looking them up, and let them know you've just started out (maybe point them to this thread
), and that you go their names from the aforementioned contact list. I'm sure they'll help you get on your dancing feet!
