Thread: Where's A Gal to Dance?

As many of you know, I have just re-established myself on Bria after a very long absense (to put it in perspective, there were no player cities when I left). In my recent days I have noticed that that the NPC Cantinas are either like Theed or Coronet, filled with buffbots and AFKers, or like Keren....echoingly empty of all life. Since the awesome Cantina crawl has left me on my favourite planet of Naboo, I would like to stay there for a bit and hone my skills, but where is good for me to dance? Are any of the NPC Cantinas more active than Keren but less lifeless than Theed? Or are there some Player Cantinas that welcome newbie dancers and have some players stopping by so I can accrue healing exp (tips don't worry me overly, I got two legs and a Fed Ex bag) and receive training? This was not so much of an issue when I left, cities like Tyrena or Moenia still had smaller but active communities in them, but I fear they may have emptied out now...perhaps the cities on Tattoine, the starting planet, would be a better place to learn my craft in the early days?

I would appreciate some advice from those who know the server and/or the planets better than I now do. Dancing by myself, whether alone in Keren or in a crowd of shuffling, mumbling, drooling zombies in Theed, does not really have alot of appeal!

MIdge, you can always swing by Veritas. We have two cantinas; Sanctuary and Luna. You will find AFKers in Luna but no where near as bad as Theed. Our guild/city does have like several hundred members. And if you just want to dance with "live" Ents Sanctuary is the place to be. Hope to see you again soon.

Yes, yes, YES! I echo my sister's words, Midge! Bishops' Sanctuary doesn't have the foot traffic that the Luna does but there are live entertainers there (or nearby) during east through west coast time zones. We do have our ownloyal patrons, too. You can get more xp from Luna, no agument there, if for no other reason than its right in the heart of town. There are AFKers of all sorts inside at any given time, but for the most part there's little or no spam going on. There are no buff-bots either. And there is often some excitment going on in town - from group/solo missions to PvP events. Just last night we went to the Luna to provide buffs prior to one such event - and ended up pulling one of the other entertainers back to the Sanctuary with us because he was tired of not having anyone to group chat with!

You, and any other live entertainers looking for fun and fellowship, arewelcome to come visit with us in lovely Veritas! But, don't be surprised if, like a few others, you decide to stay!

Thank you both for the invite! The Sanctuary sounds like my cuppa tea, and if I feel the need to blast through an unpleasing dance, I can always **edit** over to the Luna. As long as I can get healing exp, I am a happy little Rodian. Moving fast up the ladder does not really man a lot to me, it is all in the doing and I don't mind moving slowly. I am an East Coaster, and I play both mornings and evenings depending on my schedule, so I shall pop into the Sanctuary the next time I am on...I was a wee bit shy after that banning incident the other night. It has come home to me that i no longer know all the social rules of this game, so I didn't want to crash anyone's party and get slapped again.

Although as a side note, I had quite a good group of mostly atk ents in Theed this morning...now imagine that!

Oh my goodness, I have been edited!!! I didn't say a bad word, honest <blush>, just a euphemism for run quickly that also shares the first half of the word for a female body part. I am rusty at all of this.

I actually spent about two nights in Moenia. One time was on Friday, when there was about one patron every two to five minutes. The other time was on Saturday with a group of about 50 declared Rebels. Now tell me. Which night did I get more in tips, acknowledgement and fun? Friday. Seemed everyone on Saturday were way too cool to do much with/for me. The three parked buffbots didn't help either.

A patron every 2 to 5 minutes sounds perfect. Just time to dance, chat, wink and on the next one! Good to hear that Moenia isn't deserted either. A crowded Cantina is often the worst place for a tip or a conversation, I'm afraid, which is why I avoid Coronet like a plague. I shall add that swampy little town to my itinerary.
