I was thinking of some of the goofy song parodies out there that I'd like to see made into a video and I thought I'd share for no other reason than to have some levity on the boards.

The first, is "The Star Wars Cantina". For those of you who haven't heard this, it's basically the "Copa Cabana" sung with Star Wars lyrics. You can d/l it here: http://members.aol.com/manitsas/cantina.html

The video could be various shots of Leia, R2, Vader, etc, interspersed with shots of a single male performer/musician with backup singers/dancers. Who wants to play Barry Manilow?

The other, is "Jabba on the Dais" a parody on Falco's "Rockme Amadeus". The Force.net has it here: http://www.theforce.net/multimedia/video/Jabba_on_the_Dais.mov Obviously, this would be shot inJabba's palace with various entertainers and shots of the big guy.

Anyway, these songs just give me a chuckle. If you haven't heard them yet, go have a listen.

Oh! Someone post one a couple of months ago called "Can't Buff Myself" to Madona's song "I Touch Myself". It was hilarious! I did a search but cou;dn't find it.

I can never get these searches to work right

hehe...well, that was one I made up, it's not an actual song. And, it's also The Divinyls, not Madonna.

There's one at www.mcchris.com that's a rap about Boba Fett that's pretty good,

at least it had me giggling for a good 15 minutes
