Why are they reducing these wonderful professions to nil? Someone please explain this to me? Why add 18 billion ways to dance and nothing that would actually make a player obtain the services of a dancer? And then take away 50% of the reason you use a dancer in the first place?
I so struggle to understand these changes.

Well I could tell you but then I'd have to kill you. Actually the rumors say that although our previous functions are all being removed, at some point they will be replaced with new functions. So the key is to hang in there with not much to do until the new and improved version is rolled out onto the showroom floor.

There is a bit more to the picture than that. Our utility is not completely removed once BF is gone. There are still inspiration buffs which are helpful for anyone who is grinding or leveling or earning FP or wants better outcomes on their crafting. There are apparently new buffs of some sort coming in the near future - I would hope within the next few publishes. We don't know exactly what these are or how they will work just yet, though we expect them to be non-combat oriented buffs. I also get the feeling there may be something more in the plans for us, though they have not shared with us yet what that might be, but we shall see.
I do agree with your sentiment though. While the additions to the profession sound fun, and are things that we have asked for, I think removing BF and the type of interaction it fostered is a bad idea, and I don't yet see anything that will provide the same type of combat downtime interaction that BF had. It seems that our role is changing and the next several weeks and maybe months may be a trial period for us and our place in the game. Do not see the next publish as being the final change, but more like the first of hopefully several, and who knows where it will end up.

In the meantime, some of our longtime members are losing their spirit.

If theinspiration buff bug that is currently in Pub 20 gets fixed before it hits live than yes, we can still give inspiration buffs. If the bug rolls to Live, thenthe buffswill be more difficult to obtain and may further alienate our viewing public.

Yes, but why remove BF now instead of waiting until there are things to replace it with? Isn't that like saying we are removing an armorsmith's ability to make Assault because we have better things in mind in three months?
