Imagine the scene
10 orso entertainers in the Cantina, half of them ATK if your lucky
3 or 4 effects bots
a couple of Jedi having a friendly duel
And all the dancers using the nice new sparkly ribbons (dual wielding of course)
Who the hell is wanting to get lagged out in the cantina when thers NO REASON to go there ?
The devs are killing the entertainer professions and all we can do is say 'Oh thank you so much SOE for taking everything usefull we used to do away', and 'Please accept our gratitude for removing all the reasons for making anyone need to come to the cantina'
And OMG I love you soooo much for reinforcing this by making the cantinas such a lagfest now that NO ONE will want to go anywhere near the cantina.
This sucking up attitude makes me sick, I pay the same monthly fee for my dancer as the uber jebi does so why cant I have the same respect and be involved in the interdependancy that all the other professions enjoy ?

Hehe, dual wielding by the entertainer testers so all the bugs will be worked out before this becomes a jedi skill.

if they took out recurive macros.. and made key board strokes nessesary to stay logged in for say.. atleast every 15 mins we wouldnt have half the problems.. Many games use this but SOE doesnt seam to care about atk entertainers or the lag cuaseing spam orthey would have done somthing about it in the last 2 years. People use it to loot, faction grind, lvl and a number of things. You know there is a problem when jedi have BH friends hold there mission and AFK grind onkashyykian.
the only thing you can do is put ATKers on ignore and not invite them to your groups.. both of which i do. Yes its small but its the only thing i can do

One thing to note is that when the new exping system goes live there will only be one reason to AFK inside an NPC cantina and that reason is tips.
People don't like tip beggars. As more and more people realize that the ONLY reason those laggy freaks are there instead of inside their house in the countryside is because they want more cash for exploiting the system, public support for it will dwindle more and theoretically fewer people will do it.
I suppose that's the idea.
Now, as far as AFK jedi? I LOVE AFK jedi. They are my BESTEST friends right now. We all know that SOE doesn't seem to care about getting rid of AFK entertainers for the risk of making the l33t-j3di angry. But all those jedi AFKers and loot campers and credit farming teams are really starting to tick everyone (including the l33t-d3wdz) off. I love AFK jedi because they're our best hope for getting rid of AFKing.

And whatever couldtick the Jedi off they're against. You know the whole macro system is amazingly helpful though, I've got repeating macros of every shape and size, I'd DIE without them (in some cases, litterally) but I never afk with them on (save for a SHORT afk with my "safety" macro on). Getting kicked after45 minutes of doing nothingmanuallysounds reasonable to me. Benificial even... I meen,If I afk for over45 minutes what good can I possably be doing to anyone? I'm eather hogging tips, taking up space, stealing, or turning myself into a mineral harvester with no maintenence costs... Or taking too long to eat... I dunno a singlereason to be gone that long on perposeother then for self-gain.
In any event, I fight as well as dance, and I've spent about 5x as much time getting insperation buffs pre-hunt then I have healing battle fatigue. BF has already been removed all except for that never moving number under your Food and Drink bars, only way it helps/hurts anyone now is when they're shot down in space. Complaining about lossing that makes us look like parasites... BF really is nothing but a pain. Asking the random warrior if they care about insperation doesn't proove anything, there's a million fighters out there and only an average of, what, 10 visits to the cantina every hour tops? (note:visit rates vary between server)That meens the odds of asking randomly to find somebody admit they alwase pop down for insperation is really small, but that doesn't meen nobody cares about it...
(ahem) Ranting good, don't meen to be attacking anything with this I just started typing and liked what came out.
