I've finally managed to master the Dancer profession on the Bria server. It was tough - the last 15k of healing XP just about drove me nuts, especially with the "too far away" bug. I'd been doing all right on healing XP until then; suddenly, only about 1 in 10 people were actually able to watch me. And I don't even want to talk about the last 1k of healing XP, where literally NO ONE could watch me, no matter what I did. Hehe, I literally spent hours talking to people who were actually able to watch me, trying to figure out what they did to get around the bug.

I've compiled a list - keep in mind, this list does not work for everyone. It almost seems like each character has a certain thing they must do to avoid the bug.

1) Entertainer logging in/out (worked for me for about 15-30 min, then I would be bugged again)

2) Watcher logging in/out (worked only for one person)

3) Entertainer must not be grouped (worked only for one person - they said they had watched many entertainers over the past few days, and it had only worked when they found someone who was not in a group - I tried this, and while I received fewer instances of the bug, I was still bugged)

4) Watcher must try 10+ times to watch (most common fix - worked about 25-50% of the time)

5) Watcher must go outside and come back in (another common fix - worked about 25-50% of the time)

6) Entertainer/watcher having been logged on for an extended period of time (ties in with #1 and #2)

I'm sure there are more ways that other people have found, but I just wanted to put this out there for everyone who is still grinding Dancer.

Another thing: I began dancing in the Mos Eisley cantina (of course) until I made enough money to buy clothes and fly to Naboo. I don't recall ever experiencing the bug in the ME Cantina (although, no one would watch me, which is understandable because all the dances made me look like I was having seizures or I was wildly drunk). Then, for what I considerthe first half of my dancing grind, I spent time in the Theed cantina, where it seemed like I experienced the bug, but only occasionally. Then, once I had all of my Dancing XP and only needed Healing XP, I realized that the Dantooine Mining Outpost would be much more lucrative. And while I made more Healing XP there than at Theed (hoo boy, the Dant MO will be even more packed now), I encountered the bug about 5 times more. So it's possible that this bug could also be dependent on location.

Also - now that I'm a Master Dancer, I've noticed that I never seem to have the bug. The healing XP is absolutely rolling in, regardless of whether any of the above circumstances are in place. I feel very bad about this - in fact, I've barely danced at all because I feel like I'm stealing healing XP from those who need it.

Anyway, the point is, I am now a Master Dancer and I am excited about it! Sooo . . . shameless plug here. . . if you would like to join my guild (thefreecompany, on Bria, based on Talus, rebel/neutral) I'm planning on placing a cantina soon and getting a band/dance company started.
