Thread: Better cantina sceane?? kettemore or starsider?

Just thought i would ask here seei9ng this is the place you all stop by from time to time. Just currious which one has the better RP sceane..

Kettemoor has a solid player-cantina scene, with RP events at a cantina going on almost every night of the week. Whether or not it's better than Starsider, I can't say, really. 
I've RPed on Starsider, but I haven't visited most of the player cantinas.
One thing Kette does a lot of, that I think isn't as heavily done on SS, is songs during the RP nights. The performers sing songs. This is a nice touch... in moderation.
Unfortunately, the moderation is getting out of hand. Naturally new things have to be done now and then, a player can only see the same dance and hear the same in-game music so many times before getting sick of it, player-sung songs is a great next step, but when there is more song-spam than there is chatter in a cantina... well... it makes me twitch. 
But, the events are fun.

SS feels much less formal to me than Kette. Granted, I've spent more time "living" on SS so that might give me a bias. Still though, Kette seems to be awesome at more traditional/organized RP and SS seems to be stronger on just natural RP.
Both are neat servers though.

oky well that leaves only one thing.. to check out both ! sooo on to my next Q
what are the good cantinas to check out? NPC cities? Player cities?
One last thing.. Maturity. Im an older player and dealing with 10 year olds on summer break gets really old really fast. Combine it with spam and well im sure you know where im going.. Are either a more mature crowd? (btw im not downing all young people. i have met tons of very nice young people. but it seams summer is filled with more of the outta control sorts. Are there certian cities geared a bit to of the more mature person? Im from radiant and the population at least the tons of people i know are all older.. with many in the 25-30+ range. On scylla one day i swear 90% where under 15, not sure if that was an abonormalitly or not.
Time to make an entertainer and give on or both a try : P

Starsider tends to center around NPC cantina's unless there is an event such as the ones run my Silly and a couple of others. Primarally Eisley and Theed. As Panthu and Silly said we're fairly informal but a very friendly bunch with good RP.
For the most part Starsider seems to be very mature to me, nearly everyone I meet is an adult or appears to be.

If you are haning out on a Wednesday between 8 and 11 eastern send a tell to maliah and I'll give you some info on where to go for that week's party. I'm usually on Maliah but if she's not online look for TheSilly one.
Eisley has a lot of rp and a ton of dancers and reminds me of the "good old days" but the rp there tends to be trite and overly dramatic. For player cities, look into Sandstorm City and Farpoint on tatooine as well as Vagabond's rest on Naboo.

Email me -- Chii -- on Kettemoor and I will toss you the list of weekly regularly scheduled events. We don't RP a lot in the player cities. Kettemoor is a really nice combination, really, of RP and PvP... so it's sort of an unwritten rule that the bigger events take place in player cities. There's little bits of RP here and there in NPC city cantinas, but you won't find a single place there that's as big a hub as the Eisley cantina on SS.

Well i made a character on both.. Played on kettemore a bit.. was kinda quite..(not sure if that was cuase it was early in the day or what. but the people seamed nice) soooo i went on over to starsider and his mos esiley.
Me and my girl had such a blast. Everyone had a bio (though lots were the partents killed varreity but hey atleast they had one )
)got into lots of roll playing with people. Met some very nice people in the tina and just had an all around great time. No spam.. very little afk, i was very very impressed. I think i found a new home for entertaining when i need to hide out from the zillion tells making armor..

Glad to hear you found a good place to chill. Crafting can be demanding. If you're gonna be hangin on starsider, keep an eye on the forums for information on the Wednesday parties.

Only reason the kette cantina is so quiet is because I'm not there stealing everyones cookies 
But yeah, Kette cantina is always fun. RP or not, nice place to hang out.
