I don't even want to entertain the idea of buffing the HAM ever again.

I rarely bother with a doctor's buff when out hunting. I use foods mostly.
But I agree that we still need something to draw people into the cantinas. After Tuesday when BF goes, I think we shall see even the few that do come by, disappear.

Hm... well in the interest of "interdependency" (which seems to be out the window now other than for mission groups) what about making an inspiration that increases the duration or currently existing buffs on your character? That is to say, if you have some 30 minute doc buffs, and you go see a dancer, they last 60 minutes instead?
You could end up with docs and dancers working together in the cantina... you watch, the doc buffs, and when you walk out, you have double duration doc buffs.

Take the doc with you, or go without the buffs. Thats my oppinion

I don't think that's a good idea eather, would just be taking us backwards. But big surprize there, I've alwase been in full support of taking out BF and all that fun stuff that's the object of so much, uh, disgruntilation...? Yeah that. The less we're NEEDED and the more we're -wanted- the happier I get.

I miss the 2-3h duration doc buffs. With my play style, finding a doctor every 45 minutes gets tedious.
Maybe dancers/musicians could be given long duration HAM buffs that do not stack with doc buffs, and are maybe 50-75% as powerful as doc buffs? This shouldn't infringe on doctor abilities', nor would it make these new buffs "necessary" for combat. Instead, they wouldhave a niched role.

I don't care if they bring back HAM buffs just make it passive like inspiration buffs. I'm more interested performing a service to the players aspect of being a dancer. All the pretty ribbons and sparkle thingies mean absolutely nothing if the profession of dancer is made virtually useless. As is the case with this upcoming patch removing BF healing.

I don't mind battle fatigue going away, but unless the combatants and crafters have something they can 'benefit' from by watching us (more than the small inpsirations we give now), then they won't take time to come see us, no matter how great a show we put on. These steps are taking us from a viable stand-alone class to somthing suited to no sp or just a'hobby'. We have to have something that actually provides a 'service'. Just please please let it be something you can't AFK and then dancers will be enticed to perform more in the first place.
