I am interested to know how people arrange their hotkeys. With emotes, moods, flourishes, start dance, stop dance and change dance as well as sit, heal, and macros I have a lot of difficulty managing everything on one hotkey pad. I have had some funny or embarrassing things happen from forgeting to change pads at the right time.Has anyonefigured out something brilliant on how to manage all this stuff that they would like to share?

Are you aware that you can drag your hotkey bar down to make two rows of keys? Once you've done that, the hotkeys for the second bar is Shift-F1, etc. That should be plenty of keys that you wouldn't have to switch pages while you are in dancer mode.

From there I've setup F1-8 with flourishes (of course), and then 9-12 I've recently changed to be my colored lights, spotlight, dazzle and fire jets (I'm a musician). The second row of keys varies, but generally includes start/stop, and a few varying length macros for when I'm sick of pressing buttons.

I have the display arranged with two rows of hotkeys. I am mostly using the top for direct dance commands (dance starts and stops, changes) along withstand, sit and heal. The bottom is mostly set up for stop and start music along withflourishes and macros, butthat makes it hard to have many emotes on the same keys.

Are you using one row of hot-keys, or two?

Will have to check later for full details, but off the top of my head...

Bars 3 and 5 I have full of clothes for quick costume changes. On 3 shift 12 I also have a macro to load all my alias files in one go so when I make changes I can quickly reload everything.

Bar 6 is my dance bar. Top row: Flos 1-8, start dance, stop dance, forget others. Bottom row: startdance basic2 etc through to popular on 6. gap on 7. A macro to invite people in from outsoide cantina on 8, 9, 10, 11, various greetings, 12 is a medic in the house request.

Bar 4 is my music. Top row: flos 1-8, 9 empty, 10-12 a b and c macro patterns (short phrases) Bottom row: 1-4 instruments, 5-10 songs, 11- start music, 12 stop music

Bars 1 and 2 are reserved for 'combat' really. But as the wardrobe grows that will change.

To avoid using the toolbars I have lots of aliases set up as abbreviations I can just type.

e.g. wc: Welcome to the cantina %NT! Pull up a chair, grab a drink and party on down with us! Then all I need to do is press shift F12 on my third toolbar to load all the aliases when I start playing and type /wc when I need it. Saves a lot of time I find.

For me... Bar 1 doubled is combat..with my dance of the moment on start and stop on the secondtier for those ever so vital camp dances!

Bar 2 is across the top the dance of the moment start & stop and the flourishes plus my spam greeting and smile--the second line is emoties and macros

Bar 3 is macros for badfl across the topplus a smileand something else forget atm --starts and stops of all the dances and music on the second tier

Since I still run into the missing from hot key bug every once and again that's all I have in use atm

I hand type the changedance command if necessary.

I have personally thanked chairs and couches for their tip in a crowded cantina <<blush>> when the spam is rolling fast. I can't think of a way to avoid it..and I just fly right past with an "oopsie" and dance on!

Once you start using ommni box and nalargon, you have to keep them targeted to play, so if you want a target for your emotes you have to type the whole thing out manually... naturally I don't have any emotes on my hotkeys. hehe
