Thread: Everyone Gets Basic Dance At The Cantina!
how do real dancers feel about that? what if everyone was temporarily given Basic dance while they are ina cantina or public player-owned building? i am the worst dancer in the game, i look so stupid its truly humiliating but there is no better fun than dancing in a big crowded club with a good band. i feel kind of sorry for ppl that can only /dance ... : (
what do you think? would you feel infringed on? as a musician, i wouldnt mind if everyone temporarily got SW1 at the cantina, but i dont think it would be very fun or useful because they would probably end up soloing their bleating slitherhorn by themself.
IE, it would negate the profession, really. Sure, higher levels can heal better and faster, but it would seriously mess with the profession's reason for being there and being viable in the economy.
i didnt mean give everyone Novice Entertainer or Entertainment Healing, just the Basic dance. just so they can dance in the clubs.
what i meant about the slitherhorn was that i dont think it would be fun in the same way as going to a club to dance. the RL example is the same, even people who dont dance well like to go out and shake it in a crowded club sometimes, but most dont go there to try their skill with the saxophone. so for ppl to get slitherhorn and SW1 wouldnt be much fun because it doesnt sound thatgood and most club bands aren't playing SW1, so they would end up bleeping away at their newbie song by themselves. but hey, i have noobjection if ppl want to do it.
I think what's needed here, from a coding standpoint, is different styles of the /dance cmd, like there are different /bow commands.
I do find it ironic that /dance is more graceful than the first few tiers of the dance tree....
How about if a dancer targets someone they really can drag them to the dance floor and dance with them?
