Being a full time dancer (a male Wookie, nonetheless!), I have to say that I do not like the idea of a 'Deny Services' option. It just doesn't fit in with the RP environment. How many of you have gone to a bar with a piano player or such and not tipped him/her? I'm willing to guess that almost all of you over 21 (and many of you under 21, naughty, naughty!) have done so. It's a fact of life that most people are not easily parted with their money. The answer isn't to create ways to force people to spend their money, but to create ways to encourage people to spend their money.

After very little thought, I have come up with the following:

We can add two new commands that dancers/musicians can use to direct our services. Dancers would use /dancefor and musicians would use /playfor . These commands will have effect of doubling the healing rate of the person being performed for, while halving the healing rate of others watching/listening.

This will encourage tipping from those who just want to get out of there and back in the action as fast as possible, while allowing the stingier people to heal as well. It also makes RP sense because it stands to figure that a performance is much more enjoyable if it is being performed just for you! This also might cut down on the harassment some if people can pay 50 credits to get out in half the time.

Hey ninja, tip begging has been greatly curbed by the entertainers, but you fail to realize one thing. If it wasn't for the musicians and dancers, your BF/mind wounds would constantly be at 0. Without the entertainers, people would not be able to heal your action points or your battle wounds. If all the entertainers would boycott services, all the other professions would be severely pooched. What we provide to everyone in the game is a service. That is why tips are appreciated because this is our only source of income. If you read the game manual, whether the hard copy or online, it says enterainers rely heavily on tips. As for exp, I am one level into my dance knowledge. In a good size group, I can 60-65 exp per flourish. I know some of the battle professions get 500 exp per battle. Yes we have the easier of all the professions, but Sony compensated for it. So if you think we are that worthless and don't deserve any money, here is my challenge to you. Post your character name, server and what planet you are on. All of the entertainers will be more than happy to stop what they are doing when they see you walk in so you do not benefit from our services.

I like this idea, even when it isn't associated with the /deny issue. Sometimes you see really interesting people and want to give them something extra.
