The Odeum Performers are looking for additional members for our casting of “Orpheus & Eurydice”, a narrated ballet. This will be a fun and exciting event where you can meet other entertainers as well as show off your talent to the galaxy!
The only requirements on your part are that you are experienced up to Basic II, and can dedicate one hour a week for rehearsals. We will have about five rehearsal sessions, which take place Sunday evenings/night (8 PM central). We will provide you with your costumes, and help with transportation if it is an issue. Ultimately, we hope to have three performances of this ballet: first on Tatooine, then Naboo and Corellia.
PLEASE, don’t be afraid or shy! Join our cast and contact me (in-game)!
Also, feel free to ask any questions you have concerning this event. If you wish to take a sneak peak at our group, we are having a practice this Sunday the 26th at 8 PM CENTRAL, Mos Entha’s Theater (Tatooine).

P.S. We are on the Naritus galaxy.

Would you kindly tell me how you manage such a big prodiction?
I mean, it is a very cool idea and I would like to plan something equal on Gorath, so perhaps you have some tips for me.
Greetings, -Cyn-

Someone asking for my personal experience and advice! I love it! So, here’s what I suggest to anyone trying to put a performance together:
1. START SMALL. It is VERY difficult to get a large number of people together regularly, so make your first production small and simple.
2. BE ORGANIZED. We made our first mistake and wasted lots of time because our script was too confusing to read. So, I spend more time correcting and explaining the script to my cast then actually rehearsing the ballet. Thus, I suggest you carefully detail and think/plan out the production before even gathering your cast. Then, once you have your cast, have them sit down in a meeting and talk things through, ask questions, etc. I HIGHLY recommend you all agree on the rehearsal dates before hand; and when you decide, be sure to break the script up realistically – it always take time to perfect.
3. FIND BENEFACTORS. As in any production, you have to have instruments, costumes, perhaps finger foods, and fireworks. So, in addition to finding the musicians and dancers, whoever is leading this will also have to find people to either donate money or supplies (this is actually easier to do then to find cast, or at least it has been for me).
4. ADVERTISE! The last part, is making sure everyone knows that you’ll be having a production. This will probably be the fun part; you might even make a website for people to view some of the cast, or whatever.
So, that’s all I can give as advice. It isn’t much because, honestly, this is MY first production. Just remember, some people have short attention spans, so don’t drag out your rehearsals over too many days/weeks. And if you can find someone willing to pay the performers, it’s more incentive on their side. My group is only working on the promise of good tips (and I know they will get good tips, because I have wealthy friends), but otherwise they’re rehearsing totally on their own gracious enthusiasm.

Oh, and one more suggestion . . .
. . . it's even better if your cast is a group of friends that you already know and who are around the same time as you. If you have such a group, I would have them create the storyline/production with you, so they all feel involved and have a sense that "This is MY production!"
