Thread: What does poplock and footloose have to do with Star Wars?

I cant stand these dances and I just want to know who the hell was poplocking in Star Wars? And with all the moonwalking going on,you wouldthink Micheal Jackson starred in the Empire Strikes Back.Footloose was totally another movie all together not related to Star Wars. These dances are like a cruel joke. Not dances a professionally trained dancer would do. I guess I should be glad we dont break dance.

Excuse my rant. Its only I'm about to level up to Poplock hell. I'm sorry, I may have to AFK it.

Well footloose isn't a dancer's dance anyway, and poplock isn't very advanced, so that's good reason why they don't seem like "professional dances."

I love poplock though, it's so cute

I used to think the same thing about poplock. I've never been afk while dancing and I'm quite proud of that.(well not longer than to get a quick drink or alt-tab out to check something)

But when I saw that I was going to have to do poplock to maximize my experience I was extremely tempted... Although when I started I actually started to like doing poplock! I made myself a crazy mohawk, wore shorts and a bikini top with big heavy stomper boots and had a blast. At the moment its my favourite dance actually.

I got past poplock and am now doing lyrical, which I thought would be good but its such a disappointment, the strafing is awfull and the basic steps in between flourishes make me shudder.

Course now people are either saying "hey where is your mohawk" or "thank god you got rid of that mohawk"

But pah, I make a mohawk look good! *snickers*

Try to make the best of it, you might be surprised.

I've found no dances I don't have a use for. And that's as a master dancer who does a lot of coordinated routines with a group. I've even found a way to make footloose look good believe it or not.

As for breakdancing.. I'm not for it, but most guys who dance claim that as their most wanted dance. I guess other guys just don't like doing real dances. But who knows what new dances they have in store for us. If we get it, I'll find a use for it I'm sure.

They have nothing at all to do with StarWars but they are an integral part of StarPets.

Poplock is the closest thing this game has to functional droids

Poplock and footloose... where they might not have anything to do with Star Wars directly... they do have one important thing... they cost so much less action than the really pretty dances known as Lyrical and Exotic. That alone makes the dances ten times more bearable if I'm looking to dance for more than 2 minutes

I'm actually in Poplock2 hell atm. The only way I get through this is periodically I'll say something like... "Michael Jackson has nothing on me." or "I'm bad! I'm bad, come on..." Appopriate clothing is a necessity with these dances imo. I actually get pretty good tips and it makes for some great moments in the cantina! The best thing to remember is, eventually we'll get through all the dances. Maybe THEN we can do these dances because we want to...not because we have to!

Well, with my Dancer (working on getting Master Dancer with as little AFK as I can handle... bathroom and dinner breaks only) nearing Poplock2 hell, I gave this alot of thought... my solution? COSTUMING... (and attitude)

Think of Poplock as SW Village People and dress accordingly... no fleshwraps here! The outfit I got are regular shorts, light bustier, long leather gloves, panelled boots, swoop helm and backpack, accessorize with a DL44 Metal pistol, and it's time to dance... Oddly enough, ALL of the flourishs actually look appropriate then. I sat down with a tailor on Kauri (my server) named Evid (GREAT tailor, not yet master so there's alot he cannot make, but his prices are fair and he is VERY pleasant to work with getting costumes setup... you should check out his Neo look :smileytongue and designed the outfit, and it's GREAT looking. I did it all in black for RP reasons, and it looks excellent even when I'm not dancing, and poplock looks semi-good then, silly but good. Once Evid can make them, I'm getting a pair of cargo shorts instead of the regular shorts, should look even better.

What's Star Wars about a wookiee named MeAtwAgOn telling you that he totally pwned you? This game lost all chance for a Star Wars feel the moment players logged in.
