Talking about someone you never met before.... no repaying of favors or IOUs, just a random person tipping big....

Here's mine...

In the coronet cantina (shudder.... im still 4-3-4-3), a guy asks if anyone is buffing... I /t him that I am,

I give him a good one over 5 minutes, but I think what did it was the roleplay... "How's the(insert proffession here) life treatin ya?" and let the convo flow from there....

anyways the Five minutes ends and I say

"Ok, all finished (/stopwatch), you take it easy out there, OK?"

MrKickA$$Guy tips you 25000 credits.

Hi,

Wow 25,000 credits? That's a lot of one tip. The biggest one I got is 10,000 credits from one of my usual clients. Yeah and itsayingalot; I have been around since the early days.

Keep on dancing and make us proud.

P.S. Don't get cocky over it though ... audiences don't like that. And try buffing for free some absolutely randomly. This give you an pleasing air around you. (Don't get into pattern though) It's a plus if you want attentions.

actually im never cocky about it... i never talk prices about buffing in game....

And when someone asks "How much?"

I just say "Whatever you think is fair, It's a tip not fee", and seem to have really good luck with that.

Usually when you leave that decision to someone, they acknowledge that you are granting them a certain degree of trust, and they respect that.

Must agree!

They are all true for me. The audience seems to tip morewhen no one mentions about tips. (Darn macro-beggers. AFKers are nothing compared to them.)

But I like the audience who pays me attention more ... Some rude (and rich) person told me to shut up and dance. Threw me a good tip and ran off. ... No complaints there, but it didn't give me much pleasure. (Even more so considering my side job pays whole lot more)

just shut up and dance would equal an INSTANT stop dance from me.

There are some nice people out there.

Occasionally you get that really nice person. My best tip, by an order of magnitude, is 300,000 credits for a complete makeover of a wookie. Never seen one anywhere near that since. I had a friend's guildmate leave the game. She got a lot of credits, and gave me a million of what she got, which I ended up tipping to live entertainers in large chunks.

Alright, I was really laughing out loud on that one.

If it makes you feel better, I think that beats my second best tip.

Wow! And I thought the time we got 100k each for a 1 hour gig was nice. That was for a party being held by one of the richest people on the server. (He runs a mining operation, as of last count over 500 harvesters under his business)

lol yeah it was quite a shocker but im sure a once in a lifetime type of thing... the reason for the 1m/ ea for the gig was cause we had turned the gig down due to being overbooked. we had already done about 15 gigs in the last 10 days and didnt really want another... but alas that was hard to say no to lol and one of the best party's i've ever been to. Having PEX there was insaine and really spiced up the event. So now we've just decided to take the month of febuary off besides internal events
