Ive never liked afk entertaining, and allways pride myself on never ever doing it (well other than the time it takes to make coffee etc)

But today something weird happened.

I went for a nightshift and before going did a /quit while my lil new entertainer was in there playing her music (to go with my dancer later on)

I log back on getting home from my nightshift to not only find im STILL in my old entertainer group, but im also the leader of the group and ive been there (LD) playing music for 10 hours, and even have exp to show for that time.

At first i was horrified, here is me miss anti-afk who must have been seen as afk to many who didnt notice or didnt see my LD tag (i never seem to see other peoples LD tag unless im grouped with them, so i guess its same for everyone) Not only that but being entertainer group leader, all new entertainers wanting to join would have been directed to me

Made me so unhappy

This is VERY frustrating for a group leader too. Myself, I always make sure to /disband and /stopdance (or /stopmusic) before logging if I've been performing.

On the plus side, I believe that if people sent you a tell, they would get the message that you were not online, so they would not think you were asleep at the wheel.

i usually sit down and type /logout, I had a lot of problems with /quit once, like changes to my HUD not safed properly and so.
/logout seems to be the cleaner solution, and since you have to sit for it, the problem of neverending dances doesn't occur

I did too! To pull up the disconnect menu, you can use "shift escape". It usually doesn't work the first time I hit it, but does bring up the disconnect menu the second time.

/agree

anytime i've done /quit or shift+escape the next time i log in all my hotkeys are gone and i have to reset my personal settings on my chat tabs. fast logging doesn't always properly save your personal settings. safest bet is to ALWAYS sit down in the corner and /logout.

Don't feel to bad though, you didn't do it on PURPOSE and that is what is most important! *hugs*
