Thread: What is your favorite recent experience with dancer?
For me it was dancing for my friend Sakura. Didn't care about healing, buffing, earning a tip or even whether or not my dance "looked good" just liked the feeling of positive attention she was giving to me while I performed. During the performance I gave to my friend, several combat players took the oppritunity to watch me. I hadn't even realised I had gathered a crowd until I saw the emails popup in rapid fire succession that I had been tipped.
It wasn't enough money to convince me to make Dancer my primary profession yet, but it certainly was enough to feel like a reward for service I provided while entertaining my friend
THEN, this female Wookie busts in, yelling the male Wookie's name. She happens to be in the same guild as he. So I figure, "Whoa, this must be the wife or girlfriend or ex-..."
Unfortunately, I was wrong. She was just some Wookie he knew. But man, it certainly would have been amusing if they were actually together. In any case, she certainly drew the male Wookie's attention away from the two dancers.

I was dancing in Mos Eisley Cantina and a freind wanted me to meet her outside to give me something. I went outside and got the item but when I turned around, I saw to German players roleplaying stormtroopers. I could tell that they could speak some english, so I went over and hugged both of them (its kinda my thing to hug people, random people, makes freinds fast
I guess it doesnt really have to do with dancing but hey at least I was able to soften up some stormtroopers!
I meet allot of different people when dancing since I am very interactive with most of the customers. It is my opinion that the devs can never create content that is more interesting than a real human. I believe the developers made the right decision when focusing SWG as a RP game.
I have made lots of cash (because I interact with customers) and Idon’t really have much to spend it on so oftentimes if a person responds to me I will /setp on them. For many of them this was their first mind buff and they were truly amazed. Buff bots are giving it away for free now a days so I will often times go ahead and play the same game… buffing a person without asking for anything. Although some people don’t pay, I oftentimes get tips. I think many people are much more inclined to tip someone who is interacting with them and who they know are ATK.
Anyway, being a social profession I get entertainment out of when a guy will hit up on me (the sweet ones not the jerks.) Oftentimes if they spark my interest I will leave with them and they will take me out for a night on the town. Sometimes they will try to buy me things and I will just tell them that money and things are not what wins me over.(so I don’t take advantage of them). It is how they are as a person and their personality.
I have met allot of people this way and have a lot of friends. If they get serious wanting a in game relationship then I explain to them that I meet people like this all the time and that I don’t plan to have any serious long- relationship. I explain to them that I might hang out with for a bit and that will probably hook up with the next new person to come along at any time. I have made many long-term friends in this manner and I never had a shortage of RP opportunities, tips or dedicated customers. There are many people in the game who are looking for a great 1 on 1 social experience with someone new and this is why Dancer had become my favorite profession. The ability to meet some new stranger who becomes a friend or even a romance for a short while seems stupid at first but I actually can get the same "puppy love" feeling inside when I meet someone new in real life. Most people may not admit that but I know that it does happen and that my customers and friends do love me for it.
Don’t get me wrong, I never cyber or anything like that.
This is the way I play my game and I have often found myself up till 5 AM just out on some planet in a camp, sitting and talking with someone new I met in the cantina. This is the way I play my game and I enjoy it.
No matter what my template, toon, or server is… it always revolves around being a dancer. It is funny how many combat types have told me that this is a worthless wasted of skill points. Then they whine and cry about how much it costs for buffs, armor, food and how the game is boring and all they have to do is endlessly killing baz nitches or jantas.
I pride myself in the fact that I know I have turned many elite combat and non role-play types into hardcore role-players. It is really not that hard to do. I think that as more people get tired of grinding that more and more people who have never role-played before will start doing it. I think in this regard, SOE made an excellent design.
We did sort of a round dance... five dancers in a circle face in... and then we did footloose and bandflourishing.
We had such a great time!!
I don't even mind that I failed the third ent quest today...

*beams, grinning from ear to ear all teary eyed*
that is so sweet of you to say, Else! *hugs her dearest friend*
Sad to say I haven't played my dancer character very often recently. I mostly log her in when my guild (an all RP guild on Kauri) has a meeting or event because she is an officer. Not because I don't love dance, but because my favorite cantina (theed) has recently amassed a large number of young teens, and Arashi is a very adult (not in a kinky way, just adult) character. But... if I have to mention overall my best dancer memory...
it would be back in the early weeks of the game. Two guys that hung out regularly in Theed cantina that I had become friends with had a little competition to see who could earn the credits to buy me my first REAL "dancer" outfit. (10k creds was ALOT back then and was the going rate for fleshwraps and exotic-leotards)
I don't wear pastel-pink anymore, but to this day Arashi still has the pink fleshwrap and pink exotic-leotard that these sweet guys bought her. And she always will ![]()

My favorite recent experience with dancer was last Thursday's Gypsy Party.
Yes..this is what I've been thinking of too. It was more than just a party.

To Roho's creator - playing your ingame wife and being a friend out of game this past year has been great fun and I wouldn't have missed it for anything.
