What is your favorite recent experience with dancer?

For me it was dancing for my friend Sakura. Didn't care about healing, buffing, earning a tip or even whether or not my dance "looked good" just liked the feeling of positive attention she was giving to me while I performed. During the performance I gave to my friend, several combat players took the oppritunity to watch me. I hadn't even realised I had gathered a crowd until I saw the emails popup in rapid fire succession that I had been tipped.

It wasn't enough money to convince me to make Dancer my primary profession yet, but it certainly was enough to feel like a reward for service I provided while entertaining my friend

I'm in the Mos Eisley cantina, and this male Wookie comes in asking if anybody will marry him. Just for fun, I direct him to these two blue Twi'lek dancers that I'm currently conversing with. So this Wookie tries to hook up with either one of them. He seems desperate - he does a lot of kneeling and pleading, and the girls have to keep coming up with polite excuses for not wanting to marry him. I kind of felt sorry for the dancers, but I was also glad for what I did. The conversations between the Wookie and these two women were friggin' funny.

THEN, this female Wookie busts in, yelling the male Wookie's name. She happens to be in the same guild as he. So I figure, "Whoa, this must be the wife or girlfriend or ex-..."

Unfortunately, I was wrong. She was just some Wookie he knew. But man, it certainly would have been amusing if they were actually together. In any case, she certainly drew the male Wookie's attention away from the two dancers.

Heres one, keep in mind that I'm a wookie though.

I was dancing in Mos Eisley Cantina and a freind wanted me to meet her outside to give me something. I went outside and got the item but when I turned around, I saw to German players roleplaying stormtroopers. I could tell that they could speak some english, so I went over and hugged both of them (its kinda my thing to hug people, random people, makes freinds fast ). Right after I hugged them they started to call me "racist" names that a stormtrooper would normally call a wookie. I told them that they weren't nice, hugged them again and went back inside to resume dancing. After a few minutes, they come in and start talking to the two NPC stormtroopers there as if they were talking to their sergeants. After a little bit, I decided that I would give it another go and went over to hug them. This time though, a female friend of mine came along for some fun. We walk over to them and I give them both hugs and my friend proceeds to do the same. They started talking to their sergeant again asking if they should arrest me for being a "uppity" wookie. I started telling them that I would leave them alone if they both hugged me back. After a few minutes of me persuadeing them ( and my friend kissing one) I was able to get a hug out of one. I kept trying for a few more minutes to get the other one to hug me, but he kept refusing. So, eventually I gave up and went back to dancing. About 5 minutes later, the player stormtrooper comes over and hugs me, then runs away.

I guess it doesnt really have to do with dancing but hey at least I was able to soften up some stormtroopers!

I meet allot of different people when dancing since I am very interactive with most of the customers. It is my opinion that the devs can never create content that is more interesting than a real human. I believe the developers made the right decision when focusing SWG as a RP game.

I have made lots of cash (because I interact with customers) and Idon’t really have much to spend it on so oftentimes if a person responds to me I will /setp on them. For many of them this was their first mind buff and they were truly amazed. Buff bots are giving it away for free now a days so I will often times go ahead and play the same game… buffing a person without asking for anything. Although some people don’t pay, I oftentimes get tips. I think many people are much more inclined to tip someone who is interacting with them and who they know are ATK.

Anyway, being a social profession I get entertainment out of when a guy will hit up on me (the sweet ones not the jerks.) Oftentimes if they spark my interest I will leave with them and they will take me out for a night on the town. Sometimes they will try to buy me things and I will just tell them that money and things are not what wins me over.(so I don’t take advantage of them). It is how they are as a person and their personality.

I have met allot of people this way and have a lot of friends. If they get serious wanting a in game relationship then I explain to them that I meet people like this all the time and that I don’t plan to have any serious long- relationship. I explain to them that I might hang out with for a bit and that will probably hook up with the next new person to come along at any time. I have made many long-term friends in this manner and I never had a shortage of RP opportunities, tips or dedicated customers. There are many people in the game who are looking for a great 1 on 1 social experience with someone new and this is why Dancer had become my favorite profession. The ability to meet some new stranger who becomes a friend or even a romance for a short while seems stupid at first but I actually can get the same "puppy love" feeling inside when I meet someone new in real life. Most people may not admit that but I know that it does happen and that my customers and friends do love me for it.

Don’t get me wrong, I never cyber or anything like that.

This is the way I play my game and I have often found myself up till 5 AM just out on some planet in a camp, sitting and talking with someone new I met in the cantina. This is the way I play my game and I enjoy it.

No matter what my template, toon, or server is… it always revolves around being a dancer. It is funny how many combat types have told me that this is a worthless wasted of skill points. Then they whine and cry about how much it costs for buffs, armor, food and how the game is boring and all they have to do is endlessly killing baz nitches or jantas.

I pride myself in the fact that I know I have turned many elite combat and non role-play types into hardcore role-players. It is really not that hard to do. I think that as more people get tired of grinding that more and more people who have never role-played before will start doing it. I think in this regard, SOE made an excellent design.

Bye the way, I almost always dance in Mos Eisley cantin now. I think it is wonderful how they have all of the new characters on the server.

I just finsihed the dance quest! I got lucky and the audience spoke up about what they wanted to see and did not want to see. I am now happily dancing away at the Theatrical dance trying to get enough experience for the teacher to show me the next one. The atmosphere in the cantina is great! People are friendly and the other entertainers are happy. The folks that are coming in for healing are excited to see us live and at the keys... *Smiles* ... and I am in love! *beams some more*

I just come from the best time I had with dancers since I picked dancer up again...

We did sort of a round dance... five dancers in a circle face in... and then we did footloose and bandflourishing.

It was unbelivable funny, it looked like some kind of rain dance. Try that sometime...

We had such a great time!!

I don't even mind that I failed the third ent quest today...

Several of the Theed regulars on Kettemoor do Poplock line dances. We were joking today about lock-popping Twi'leks.

Even better, I couldn't resist getting the lyrics to the Safety Dance and macroing it out while poplocking... it went over well.

that is so sweet of you to say, Else! *hugs her dearest friend*

Sad to say I haven't played my dancer character very often recently. I mostly log her in when my guild (an all RP guild on Kauri) has a meeting or event because she is an officer. Not because I don't love dance, but because my favorite cantina (theed) has recently amassed a large number of young teens, and Arashi is a very adult (not in a kinky way, just adult) character. But... if I have to mention overall my best dancer memory...

it would be back in the early weeks of the game. Two guys that hung out regularly in Theed cantina that I had become friends with had a little competition to see who could earn the credits to buy me my first REAL "dancer" outfit. (10k creds was ALOT back then and was the going rate for fleshwraps and exotic-leotards)

I don't wear pastel-pink anymore, but to this day Arashi still has the pink fleshwrap and pink exotic-leotard that these sweet guys bought her. And she always will

My favorite recent experience with dancer was last Thursday's Gypsy Party. What made it special (aside from my beloved being there) was that Javier had decided to cancel the weekly Gypsy Parties because he felt turn out had been poor lately.Public outcry made him change his mind. I didn't count how many were there (having too much fun for that!), but I would guess that about 15 people showed up.

However, my very favorite experience as a dancer came way back in November of 2003 in the Moenia Cantina. Back then, Moenia was hopping. One afternoon a tall, gorgeousredheaded Theedianwith mischievous green eyes walked into the cantina and sat in with the band, playing horn. He was witty and charming andenjoyed teasing meabout my special skill at falling while dancing. He was always a gentleman and even while we bantered a bit, he treated me with the utmost respect - and expected others to, as well. Before I knew it, a couple of hours had passed and he had to leave. The cantina, though still full of entertainers and patrons, suddenly seemed very empty and quiet to me. That moment, when our eyes first met, my life changed.

Perhaps I'm waxing nostalgic because last Saturday we celebrated our first wedding anniversary. My poor, darling Rohowoke upsick so he spent the day (the weekend, actually) curled up in a blanket and I did my best to make him comfortable and nurse him some. It didn't matter that we did not do anything special for our anniversary. We were together and that is all I really cared about. Roho is my beloved.

OOC - Roho's creator was indeed sick this past weekend, so for anyone wonderingwhat happenedtoKirah and Roho after all the banter about their anniversary celebration, now you know . . . He was a bit better yesterday, but being the benviolent person that I am , I told him to stay in bed and rest. In a role playing sense, Kirah loves Roho more than life itself. In a real life sense, I consider Roho's creator a dear friend who I adore and admire greatly.

To Roho's creator - playing your ingame wife and being a friend out of game this past year has been great fun and I wouldn't have missed it for anything.

This has actually been a great week as a dancer for me.

Friday - We had a dance party at Fort Tusken! We had a great turnout, even some of my friends who have dropped dance still came, theykilled stuff for us.

Saturday- We performed at a large wedding and I saw people I havent in months. That same night I was tipped for BF and mind healing by several players in the Bestine cantina. I am such a dork,I was in the entertainer chat channel giving new bulletins. "I was tipped, and not for amind buff!" I was thrilled, I know what a huge deal that is to a new player and to see people starting this again makes me so happy!
