Personally, I didn't like the idea. Obviously you guys play entertainer a lot differently than I do though, which is fine. For my money I'd just like to see a system in place that encourages combatants to /tip entertainers and medics for what they already do. (A simple credit to wound/BF healed system).

Caution! Reading my posts can lead to this.

Thanks for sharing the link, Til

And Else, I think a good credit-to-buff/heal interface would be awesome, but very difficult. The credit agreement would have to be sort of open-ended - as each server basically has it's own economy. I think there'd have to be, like, some kind of credit conversion done by the UI to account for credit value fluctuations on each server.

Like, on Starsider, I can get buffs for 10k. I logged into Bria, and pretty much everyone I saw charged 12k or 15k. 15k seemed more common (just my impressions of Coronet Doc buffs on Bria, your experience may be different).

So, a 5k buff might be fair on Starsider, butmight be a huge bargain for patrons (or huge rip-offtothe Ents) on Bria.

100% agree.

I dislike the idea. But, I do think it was a well thoughtout idea.

I hate buffing and was a dancer long before there was a mind buff in the game. However, if buffing is allowed in the game, then mind buffs are needed in the game to complete a buff set.

My solution? Allow mind buffs to be crafted by dancers and then sold on the bazaar/vendors.That way dancing would be limited to mind healing there-by eliminating a need for buff bots and allowing a social interaction between players and dancers when they unwind at the end of a mission.

To be honest, I like almost every idea that's been presented. I have no problem with crafting, I have no problem with "storing" for instantaneous buffs, I have no problems with holo recordings,I have no problem with the idea Warryyr presented. They all seem to me that they would be fun and interesting. And, whatever the outcome will be in our "revamp," should there be some type of buffing overhaul, I would almost be gauranteed to be happy with. Honestly, for all my ranting and raving about buffbots, the means to the end have never been all that important to me. I just want the afk buffing to stop, and I want real, live entertainers to benefit from being able to sell there services again.

Warryyr's idea seems interesting to me, and I think I would enjoy it. So, he, as well as most other people's ideas get my two thumbs up.

I became an entertainer to ENTERTAIN and never thought of it as a complimentary profession to MEDIC which is sadly what it has become. Best solution I can come up with is a buff "window" like the ID "window"

but personally i'd rather just axe the buffs

I think it's a fabulously creative idea. Good work, Warryr.

My only fear with removing our ability to buff is that it would severely impact our ability to have Entertainers be economically viable professions in this game.

Yes, you can make some money off of tips for healing and entertaining.

But, a lot of Entertainers have trouble making ends meet without picking up another profession to supplement Entertainer. Kill Ent buffs, and it'll make Entertainer even harder for some folks to keep around, when they spend 95% of their time making money in the game doing something else, then occasionally dancing or playing music. Instead of sticking to an Entertainer profession, they'll gravitate away and lose interest. That's not good for our numbers, which are already hurting.

I definitely agree with your opinions that we should first and foremost be ENTERTAINING. The same dances and songs again and again is NOT entertaining. We need more at our disposal to keep those cantina visitors entertained. Games. Anything. That's the first order of business. The second is to answer the borderline player interested in Entertainer yet inevitably asks, "How can you make money by just entertaining?"
